| According to League Express JD is interested in a coaching role in Super League. The article indicates that he still has a big soft spot for Trin and is very happy with our upturn in fortune.
Who would you prefer JD or CC???

| Whilst what JD has done coaching wise is decent, it is 10x more important what CC has done with us and he has been fantastic. As much as I love JD, it is a no brainer really.

| Would be more than happy to have JD but we don't need a new coach. We have one I like already.

| Could JD take up a role similar to what John Kear did?

| JD is a Trinity legend, no question.
However, anyone suggesting a change in coach, even to JD, is being massively disrespectful to the stunning work done by Chester & Co.
Obviously if Chester moved on, for whatever reason and nobody would actually want that and JD was wanting a gig, he would be welcomed like a long lost son but, Chester is first, second and third choice and long may his reign continue.

It's called promoting a debate/discussion TrinTrin!!! It made you take the bait didn't it?

Sorry Redcat but I personally don't see the point in this question, 4th in the table and half a team - JD would have to have developed the power to heal to do any better

| JD has said before (on twitter i think) that he and Monty Beetham would like to return to trinity one day. I would love to see it at some point but what Chezzy has done for us since coming in has been immense, long may it continue.

The problem with the logic or more to the point the OP's logic is that for this to happen the club would need to have lost its way and be facing relegation and as a result Chester sacked, which none of us want to see surely.
The only positive way I can imagine this happening is if CC was daft/brave enough to take the Wigan job if offered. This is a better scenario than the first but its still very disruptive.
I suppose the best way to view it is that we are lucky enough to know where to look if things go pear shaped.

| Disrespectful question - and anyone answering anything other than CC wants their bumps felt; the guy has done something amazing at our club - been a big part in transforming the culture, and turning us from a cellar-dwelling-selling club, to a top 5 club who can attract and retain players of such quality, that they'd walk into any SL team.
Long may it continue - and good luck to JD getting a SL gig elsewhere.

| Cc has being excellent for us and I wouldn't want to compare them
I don't think there is any need to really
Long may Chester continue at the helm with MC
Jason is my fav ever wakey player so I've followed his career since he went back to aus
His record is excellent
Won the QCC for northern pride
A premiere ship as an assistant at the cowboys, made my year seeing his face when JT kicked that golden point drop goal
Felt like one of our own won the NRL GF to me any way
He's now so working under Wayne Bennet too
Wayne wouldn't have some one working as his assistant unless they were the real deal
I think we'll see a lot from Jason as a 1st team coach in the coming years when Jason is ready to do that
If and when SL would be lucky to have him over here again

| The point of my original post has been obviously misunderstood by a lot of people. The idea was not to undermine Chester's achievements in any way. I dread the day he should ever leave.
The idea was to discuss the merits, coaching style and achievements of both coaches' styles., and base decisions on that, as some seem to have grasped.
Never mind!! I'll go and read the Beano!!
