What a terrible game, neither team deserved the win but well done to KR for being the only one to manage a Try.

I think this shows how poor Leeds were last week rather than how much Trinity had improved.

It's going to be a long season and I wouldn't be surprised if we finish near or at the bottom. No saviour games at the end of this season either

Poor game all round, weather was always going to play a part, fair play to KR for getting over. That first 15 mins in the second half we needed to get over the line. All that pressure and left with nothing.

Is broughy calling the plays too much? We kill Leeds down the left edge yet today we continued to attack on the right?

If we are serious about mounting a top 5 challenge need to be winning games like that.

We're not serious about mounting a challenge for the top 5, that much is obvious from the first 5 games

Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
A great efforts from both sets of forwards but, Trinity lacked the will to properly attack KR in their own 20.
Plenty of possession and plenty of territory but, woefully lacking in ideas in our opponents 20.

The game swung on two crossfield kicks.
IF Johnstone scores, we win the game but, unfortunately, KR secure the win with the same play on the Trinity line.

Gutted.

WE HAVE to win these games if we are serious about a top 4/5 spot and right now, we dont look quite good enough.
I think that we will improve on the harder drier tracks but, only time will tell.

This thread was bound to attract brainless trolls from other clubs trying to gloat. It was one of the worst games in SL history played by 2 very average teams on the day in stinking conditions. Hull K.R are nothing. Wakefield were just slightly worse. It won’t define our season.

Willzay....Rovers aren't a poop side. They have recruited well. I had a feeling we might lose today. The conditions were not for us; we always do badly in the crap weather. We'll be back

Yep pretty much sums it up. We seemed to be trying to play dry weather rugby too much when in their 20 running it on last tackles, speculative long passes etc. The conditions were crying out for broughs short kicking game in their 20 but we never saw a dangerous grubber just aimless kicks into touch.

I also agree with the earlier post about brough taking too much control. Needs to share it out especially when he is trying too hard and making wrong decisions

Only other points are we allowed kr forwards to get easy metres by not moving up in defence and atkin ran us ragged from acting half when he cam on

Oh for goodness sakes! 5 games in and we lose an arm wrestle in conditions that at times made it extremely hard to move let alone play Rugby. I'm glad our players are more determined than some of our fans

consistant performances always seem to allude us ,can’t count the times over the years we’ve beat a top team then lost to a weaker team the week after .
As things stand we”ll go to hull and come away with a win.
Still can’t find that magic formula to see out a close game .

The point I'm subtly trying to make is, as you didn't see it, how can you be so adamant that we were rubbish.
Rovers played well. Certainly tackled well though personally I think they shut us out by being offside.
We got over the try line twice but they were disallowed (correctly). Because of the conditions neither team had a lot of time on their opponents line.

Only that he seemed devoid of ideas and more often than not took the wrong option. His plays in our 20 would have been bettered on East Park in Hull.
