Just seen some old footage of Sheffield's brilliant win against Wigan, forgot that Michael Jackson played in that final ex Trinity and GB international bloody fast for second rower great forward

Yep, I remember Jackson well, I remember him scoring a solo from 30-40 yds out against Saints at belle-vue way back...god knows when.
From memory, fast, he was fast for a forward, toured PNG with GB, got some kind of exotic leg infection there, came back and was never quite the same.
Went to Fax...or Hunslet, can't remember.

I think we signed him from Hunslet. He then left us and went to Halifax.
Agreed, Jackson was quality, it was always an exciting moment whenever he got the ball, anything could happen. |

IMHO, miles better than that guy. Don't think there's anyone currently comparable to MJ in his pomp. Maybe Ben Murdock Masilla but less power and more pace? |

Think he lives in oz now exciting player to watch was Jackson ,was sold on to Halifax when ace player seller sir Rodney was chairman for about 60 grand if I remember correctly

Could be mistaken but he a scored a bloody cracker against Wigan from half way and rounding Steve hampson who was Wigan's full back early 90s I think ?
