It was at a time that we were winding the clock down. Players were just going through the motion and dying in the tackle. Salford were expecting the same from batch but he thought differently and good on him, he had a great game!!!!

Cracking game from Batch yesterday, put a real shift in, especially in defence. I think he was doubly determined after Salford had just caught him short of the line a few plays earlier, wasn't going to be denied twice! Good on him!

I think Batch was close to being man of the match yesterday - great effort both in defense and attack.

Incredible athlete, still under 19 I believe - incredibly advanced for his age.

I'm not 100% on his birthday as it's 10 years since I coached him and had his players card, he played in the same team as my no2 son up to U16's and he was 19 in April, I'm sure batchy is older than him, nevertheless amazing athleticism from a body that age and from memory he's not a half bad kicker, was knocking them over from the halfway line at U13's

Batch is still eligible to play for the U19s

He DOB could be any date between 1st sept 1997 to 31st Aug 1998 to be eligiable for U19's

I thought the same as the OP. When he broke through the look on his face said, "$h*t, I'm through". The touchdown as he slid in produced possibly the best moment of the season so far from the team and fans.

He's a talent and the only times I think he makes an error (in both defense or attack) is when he shows a lack of confidence.
The older guys need to work with him there to bring him through to his full potential.....which is massive.
