BTW we used to be known as "Wakefield [uTrinity[/u Wildcats" not "Wakefield Wildcats" so maybe it has nothing to do with us?

The BBC aren't renowned for having thier finger on the pulse regarding RL matters are they?

Well of course, their beloved 6 nations is on!! You'd think that now they're based in Salford we'd actually start gettting some quality air time, not a cat in hell's chance when it's kick and clap time. Can't stand it!

I wouldn't expect miracles from the BBC when our own MP (Mary Creagh) sent an email out today referring to the help she's provided to 'Wakefield Wildcats' in trying to secure a community stadium

Real woman of the people. Noticed last week she voted against the Brexit Bill when she supposedly represents a constituency who voted 66% in favour of Brexit.

She did it as her constituants are basically 'too thick' to know what was good for them. She did it for us!

If she sorts out our issues over the ground she'll do for me.

This is probably true of most MPs thoughts about their constituents. I'll bet Mary Creagh and Yvette Cooper have a carbolic bath after every unavoidable meet up with their "Thick" constituents. Especially the ones who can't even spell the word!



Obviously apart from when they're wanting your vote.

And quite right too - if the past 12 months in politics has proved anything, it's that democracy doesn't work; benevolent dictatorship is the way forward! (appropriate smiley face to indicate that I'm not *entirely* serious)

It's not just the Beeb either...even the fixture list on the right hand side of this page has Sheffield playing Toulouse at Belle Vue at 1500 hrs on Sunday (along with the BBC too, I might add

What's she saying about the community Stadium? What's she doing to help?

She's decided on our behalf we don't need to move and will be fine at BV

Annoys me when people get uppity about the likes of Box, Creagh yet probably will vote Labour in the next local elections

I think Creagh has really shot herself in the foot in a big way this time.

They don't make this type of mistake where their careers are concerned, the fact that she so blatantly middle finger saluted her constituents suggests she's already got her next job lined up.

In the interest's of balance, what has the area's Tory MP Ms Jenkins) done to help with facilitating a new/ revamped ground ?

Both MPs have met with representatives of the Trust. Mary Creagh posted a question in the commons above us the planning process which helped clarify the role of WMDC and We are working with Andrea on something at present. We need their help at this time!

Don't know much about how helpful Andrea Jenkins has been. Suffice it say that pre election our letterbox was filled with promises on a daily basis, since then not a dicky bird either in writing, on TV or anywhere.

Trinity's new season just previewed on Calendar, and guess what, They actually stated that we'd ditched the Wildcats tag. One up on the good old Beeb there then.

Of course Mary Creagh would be happy if we stayed put, it would no longer be her problem as Belle Vue is in Jon Trickets Hemsworth constituency. His silence on the matter has been deafening.

Tricky John is far too busy gaining votes by fighting HS2

Lets get philosophical for a minute. There are two schools of thought -

1. You elect an MP as your representative to vote as THEIR conscience dictates. This has been the accepted view for a long time but it does mean that the actual electors can feel as they are only considered at election time and then forgotten about.
2. You elect an MP as your representative to vote as YOU dictate. This means that they should check the views of their constituents on each vote - maybe even a mini referendum - which is probably impractical.

Not only that but they have to represent ALL constituents, not just the ones who voted for them. That makes life even more difficult. I'm not saying one way is right and the other wrong but it does show that democracy is messy to say the least. The Brexit vote was something like 52% to 48% so the 48% or nearly half the population have to have their views considered at some stage - unless the losing side gets ignored altogether. Maybe when everything goes online everyone can have a vote on everything (but I reckon it would probably lead to an even bigger mess!).

Yup, can't really hold a grudge against Creagh - she's doing what she thinks is best for her constituents, even if they don't agree. She knows far more about it than your man in the street and is not there to blindly vote for whatever is popular at the time.
