Just been along Agbrigg Road this morning and there is a huge crane behind the hospitality boxes. Tried to get up St Catherine street to have a look but traffic was blocked off.

Hope we are not dismantling the place already.

Hopefully putting some light bulbs in the floodlights

Could it be preparation for new changing facilities and warm-up areas for when the superstars playing for Sheffield Eagles arrive for their double-headers?

I would imagine it will be in relation to the development on the former superbowl site

I've just been down to check it out - apparently Nigel Wood was in for a meeting with MC, so they were just hoisting him out of his bariatric BMW, up to the 4th floor office.

Gdont get excited or worried, they're building a new mosque at the end of St Catherine street, they were lifting the steel work into place with a crane.

On a serious note, I'm sure if there was something positive happening that there would have been an announcement.

I also would think that any major overhaul of the stadium would be timed just as the season ends to minimize disruption.

Also, I would think that if all 4 sides are being worked on, the Western Terrace would be done first for site access reasons mainly

I think there was an inference from one or two posts Vastman that some groundwork may be going on - simply that. My comments were actually meant as a lighthearted response.

If we had a new East Stand I may have tp move out of my spot just left of the posts in the north stand

I was there on Monday cleaning up East stand terrace after training game and sweeping up leaves round main gates and nothing going on in ground up until then. Anyway Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all supporters. Here's hoping for good things in 2017.
