| If you could have anyone from that Kr squad who would it be. I think minns has been the stand out for them this year, in both defence and attack.

| Blair or Lunt.
Blair is a creative back row who can provide support to the halves. I think he has pledged his future to Hull KR.
We need a hooker to take pressure off Moore. I actually think Lunt is better than Moore so it would be other way round, Moorr supporting Lunt.
Also they both have leadership qualities.
Donaldson could be an option.

| She is completely gutted mate. Tears at the end both from her and our youngest. The crowd trouble didnt help as the Salford pitch invasion happened they ran our way.
No she is very loyal to her club but adopted us as her second club since she moved to the Merrie City in 1988. So I wouldnt expect her to.
She does come to our games though when Rovers not playing.
The trouble at the end was the worst I had witnessed in watching the sport for 35 years

The trouble was on the cards when salford put on free travel,
Man utd dont play until sunday so to put it mildly it was a free dick heads day out.
it was a bad result for all clubs as Kr always bring a good following and salford bring next to nothing.

| Youre probably right there about dick heads day out.
Saw quite a few wearing Man City and Man United shirts when we were walking back to the car.
To me if you are a true fan of the club and the sport you should really wear something connected to the club concerned.
It may be stereotyping football fans but it was just draeing attention to them

It's a shame when you have a good club with history and a great following,
Relegated for trouble causing dross who dont bring anything to the party.
Lets hope it's only for one season! But not before we've signed a couple of em

He won't be getting the salary at Wakey that he was on at KR, but beggars can't be chooses , would be a good addition though.

| CC has said he is looking at bringing in a prop and a second rower but waiting until after MPG. Blair is a lot better than Donaldson. Walker fits the bill and a great replacement for Scruton.
CC already has that connection with KR so possibly likely to be from there now they are relegated with all SL contracts gone.

| Is it just me who finds this a little distastefull, how many times have we moaned about vultures.
Anyway for fear of getting my fingers burnt I think we may be getting carried away with Lunt. The only reason I could see him joining us is the CC connection (was he a CC signing?). He's easily one of HKR's best assets and will be in demand at a high wage I'd have thought and I just can't see how we afford that even if we shed 10 plyers - but I must say it would be nice if we could.
We now have four pivot players in Moore, Finn, Miller and Williams as opposed to three last year. The new recruit is also of a very high standard. We also have emergency cover in Sio, Moules and Grix which again is marginally better than last year. I think these additions are a big if steady step forward for a club like ours and I think we will stick with that or maybe take on a Kear project.
For me it's the pack than now needs the money and we need size. As it stands we have one big proven prop England, one big unproven Prop Hirst and possibly another partly proven prop in Fafita if he signs. We need at least two more big men. They don't both need to be props but they do need to be 17+ stone and over 6 foot. For me last year as in previous years it was in the pack that we lost most games. We definitely reduced the arrears this season but against bigteams like Hull and Warrington we could not compete if they decided to play. We need the platform in the forwards, there is enough guile in the pivots and speed in the backs to do the rest.
If we had a pack something like this (all fit) we'd do OK.
Props
England
Hirst
Fafita
New Prop
Yates
S/R
Ashurst
Kirmond
A Tupou
New S/R
L/F
Sio
Arona

| With all the talk of needing a big pack (as in physical size not numbers) are people taking into account that the number of interchanges drops next season to 8, so surely leaner, fitter, more able to do long minutes would be more the requirement. rather than physical size itself. Ideally it would be a combination of the two.

Little bit different for me. We got picked apart while still in SL, they've just been demoted and some of their players may not want to drop down a division. At the end of day it was just a question basically asking which player you'd pick from the Hull KR team if you could. I said Lunt, I think he'd be great here but I doubt we could afford him, as they'd be other teams above us probably after his services. As for Hull KR , if they stay full time and spend the full cap like Leigh did, they could afford to keep their best players.
Agree about the forwards, that's why I think Walker would be a good addition for us and would be more in our price range. I remember hearing a stat a couple of months ago, saying that our forwards have made the least meters in the League. That's got to change next year. We need more meters from the Props, hopefully Fifita signs and playing along with England would remedy this to soem extent but others have to step up or be brought in. Also the 2nd rows, who on the whole were a bit of a let down last year, tackling they did OK but as far as meters they made, breaks etc not nearly enough.
