| Well based on Chesters post match press conference there will be others making way before Crowther for any returning players

| Definitely play Jordy before A. Tupou.....for whatever reason he just is not performing and hasn't for most of the season. Crowther is the future of this club along with the other outstanding youngsters.

| We have to give some of these youngsters some extended game time to see if they have got what it takes over a period of games. What better time than now we wont be in the grand final so have 7 games where the pressure is off and the older heads can help them through these games with a no pressure situation. The ideal time to evaluate bring it on I say

| Valid in principle but sadly not in practice, especially when human nature is involved. I regret that the few that post on here may accept a string of heavy defeats but can you be so sure the rest will, especially when you want them to buy season tickets.

I don't think anyone accepts the heavy defeats - but some are more understanding of why they are happening than others.

| What have we got to lose? We are not going to reach the final so why not introduce some of the younger players and give them a go? It can only help us for next season if we see what they can do. Maybe not en masse but a couple at a time.

| I'm of the opinion that if it was explained by the club what was happening real supporters would understand the long term thinking and support the club in this.

| For the long term development of the younger players and therefore, for the success of the club, it makes perfect sense to give any youngsters on the fringe of the squad some game time.
However, we have to make progress with our home supporter numbers, which are, to say the least, pretty poor.
It's a really tough balancing act for Chester and the club.
At this stage it's probably more important to try and work out if we can avoid the "qualifiers" next season.
You have to expect Leeds and Salford (if Koucash stays) to improve significantly and of course Huddersfield have plenty of Uncle Ken's money to keep them competetive so, next season will be tougher than this year.
With the prospect of moving away from BV, plus a "poor" run in the super 8's, Season tickets will be a hard sell, which is strange when we have had our best season in a number of years and it's a major, major flaw of the current structure.
The main plus point though is having the certainty of SL rugby for Trinity next season, for which we should all be very, very grateful.

| It is a huge balancing act is this for the club. Both on and off the field.
Yes Tupou has been disappointing to his standard in the NRL and players like Jordy Crowther definately deserve a run in the side. Given who we have in the back row, addefd to that the young back rowers promoted to the first team his year, should Tupou want to go home, is it worth replacing him with another back roww or do we strengthen elsewhere.
Regarding the attendance, this is out of Chessies hands but this is where MC or the clubs marketing comes in. I suggested earlier in the year and to MC himself of a scheme which introduced new fans and stay away fans. It was like a mini season ticket comprising of 5 games.

| There should be an obligatory rule that all season ticket holders get into away games for £10. That would help boost all attendances

| So when Hull bring 2000 season tickets holders to Belle Vue you want to reduce our income by 50 + %

That would cost the club too much in lost revenue. However, is there any mileage in a home and away season ticket ?
I don't know how and monies would be shared but, it would be popular with the fans that go to "all" games.

If I was an away supporter of any other club the first away fixture I would choose to miss is ours. Our ground and the location in which it stands is a massive negative for the club and always will be.

| Really wonderful location Cas have. They don't seem to have such a problem attracting support. Widnes stadium is also in a really up market area.As for parking, Belle Vue is far easier than many I could suggest including Headingly. Our lack of support is due to years and years of lack of success coupled with lurching from crisis to crisis. Like to bet if we could really build on this season and sustain it for say 5/6 years all those I meet in the pubs and clubs who are the 'knowledgable' lapsed supporter would gradually come back . Additionally perception is the key . Even away supporters would be less likely to deride the ground et al if the club was successful. We are such an easy target for derision at the present.

| Don't be coming on here making sensible reasoned posts like this,it's quite clearly councillor box and WMDC why we're in the current situation
As for move to dewsbury or Fev, if it means the long term survival (and even short term) the so be it, I don't see many other feasible solutions on the table

| For all of you who think the ground is why crowds are so poor and that the mythical Newmarket would solve the problem i say SALFORD. Despite a fortune being spent on players , breaking salary cap rules by using dodgy middle eastern companies to pay players for so called leadership training that was never carried out , a new ground right next to the m60 loads of seats cover from rain parking hospitality etc etc they dont get any better crowds that Trinity ......oh and it takes and hour to get out of their car park after the game.

The state of Belle Vue has an effect on away support aswell as home support.

I agree, always said though if we have a competitive team playing in a decent stadium we wouldn't worry about our support. We have better support than other clubs would have in our position and have the potential to be a better supported and bigger club than most clubs.
