| Nice to see Owen back in the fold
For me:
Max Jowitt
Ben Jones Bishop
Craig Hall
Ashley Gibson
Tom Johnstone
Liam Finn
Jacob Miller
Anthony England
Scott Moore
Nick Scruton
Matty Ashurst
Danny Kirmond
Mikey Sio
Tinirau Arona
Chris Annakin
Mickael Simon
Stuart Howarth
Although I'd quite happily put BJB at centre and Owen on the wing
I think Tupou should be given the night off if the injury was as bad as stated - can't play with several loose teeth surely!!

| I'd expect Hall to play for the injured Lyne but Bjb and Owen could provide an interesting combination

| Hall to play for me in place of Lyne.
Had it not been for injuries in the backs, I may have considered leaving BJB out. but too much a crucial game for me to start tinkering with selections and combinations.
I was hoping Bill Tupou would have been in, then for me it would have been a straight swap.
Owen to miss out, and then between Annakin and Howarth. Both these two bring something different to the side.

I'd go with that, but if Tupou is in the 19 and is fit enough he has to play for me, probably instead of Annakin/Howarth. I've had teeth knocked and loosened a few times, but they tend to go back to normal fairly quickly. Also this is a must win for us, so I'd like the best players on the pitch if possible and A. Tupou is certainly one them. Obviously the coaching staff won't put him out there if there's any problems.

| I'd replace BJB with Owen regardless of injuries because IMHO he's a better player. Centre is now a bit of a problem, I still don't rate Hall but he's the most obvious choice.

Disagree with both of those opinions - but it's so good we have the depth in the squad these days to even be able to have the discussion though, so not moaning.
Owen's been out far too long to throw him in to such a crucial game as this, BJB could be a real blessing on the iPitch as well. Hall I've always rated technically, but been let down by his attitude last season, feel he's gone well when he's come into the side this year though. Also didn't know he was that fast until the Leeds game, so could be another one who is fantastic on the plastic.

Coach Chester disagrees...

As for my hyper link update that Widnes will be missing Brown and Bridge I wasn't inferring that we should now win...they are a good side and it will be tough getting the 2 points there.

| Our back three have been a big part of our improvement.
No need to change it. Owen has to wait for his chance same as anyone else.

| Surely Bill Tupou would get in before Owen, can only presume he's still shaking off the injury or lacking match fitness. Owen better than BJB? Give over

| i would stick with BJB for this one.
It is good though that they are both on the way back.
If both fit, it might be good to give these two a run out in the cup next week against Toulouse, give them chance to get some fitness and confidence back, before being thrown straight into the Super League

BJB has been ok at best, Owen was very good and very determined in a terrible team last year until injury.
As ever this board seems to be suffering it's usual snow blindness after a few wins. It's tempting to suggest our team is brilliant when in fact it isn't and BJB is top of the list for a player to be looked at. Came with a big reputation and has already lost his preferred position to a 19 year old.
Everything went down that side on Sunday and although BJB wasn't at fault for the disruption caused by injuries he certainly didn't cope well, all be it against a big winger.
RL not about personalities it's about whose best for the job. For my money and it's just an opinion BJB is not the future he's another Graig Hall, I'd rather go with Owen or Tupou. It's not personal though I'm sure the black hat white hat brigade will take offence I just want the best team out there. Myself and Chris Chester may not agree, so what it's not like he cares what any of us think and rightly so. Ditto BJB, he may chose to make me eat my words and that would be great.
But for now, BJB better than Owen - not in this lifetime.

Think you are right BJB may make you eat your words and Chester won't care what's written by us on this forum. For what it's worth I liked Owen before he got injured but he should be introduced maybe in the Toulouse game not straight into SL in place of BJB.
As for who is better than who is down to perception and I'm glad that both are in the Trinity squad.

| BJB has outstanding pace, which Owen does not have. Pace that has 'burnt' us often in the past. For some reason so far this season we have only seen glimpses of it. Let's hope he gets away tonight and wins the game for us.
