| Is it just me or are Wakefield fans the singularly most obsessed fan about the machinations behind the scenes. We are constantly complaining about how the Chairman does business, how the club is run, how many shirts we ordered, etc etc etc.
the chairman is the chairman and has the right to do what he wants, how he wants, personally I don't have an issue with this, i know many others do. But really, in the big scheme of things what has it got to do with us. Yes we are fans and pay to watch a product which we expect to be of a certain standard, but that, pretty much, is out of his hands.
We are not fighting new owners off, so lets be thankful for what he have. He's an accountant and it shows, but at least we still have a club.
When Ted was here it was said that certain people (whoever they were) would not invest while he was there, We heard the same story about Glover and Elston, and i suspect it will always be the same. So unless you have a couple of million to throw away i suggest we start accepting what we have and start supporting the club.
The on field issues are a concern but although ultimately responsible he is not directly responsible and that is the difference.
If we get relegated so be it, but I am Wakefield 'till I die, not Wakefield as long as we are in super League, Or Wakefield as long as the Chairman runs it the way I Like..... (I've seen a lot a crap teams, and some pretty dire Directors over 40 years)
I'll be At Belle Vue, or Dewsbury, or Oakwell, or Doncaster or wherever as long as the Name of Wakefield Trinity exists, (it may die before I do, but that's the way thing go sometimes)
Just my opinion.. I know there are a lot of others out there.

| Human nature being what it is you will always get people having a moan, and rightly so if they think it's warranted especially after yesterdays dire performance, opinions are just different points of view from individual fans and should be accepted as such. Unfortunately there are three specific posters on here whose intention is to make a career out of criticising the club and especially the chairman and the coach, whether it be the ground issues, player recruitment/retention, team selection or tactics, poor marketing tactics, shabby sports clothing questionable ticketing, poor financing and probably more as well, and I'm afraid although none of them are qualified to offer professional advice on any of the above matters their quite willing to offer criticism under the guise of an opinion.

| There are 2 maybe more schools of thought one being, i am wakefield till i die i will support the team no matter how dross the entertainment is.
Another school of thought and this applies to me yes i love the club but lets face it watching wakefield is not entertaining we are not watching athletes in their prime wowing us with their skills, so why when with so many options for entertainment should we pay to watch them.
As we all know time is precious why would any sane minded person spend all day and money to not be entertained que the because you should support through thick and thin. i amafraid that is rubbish and only applies to a small minority of supporters you want bigger crowds entertain

| I think our clubs an easy target for all of the above chissitt. I think we have probably been the worst run club in S L and have been for some time. I can see why M C needs to get the finances in shape lets hope he can and we can all look forward to a brighter future. We seem to take one step forward and one and a half back . If its not the effort on the pitch its the coach, if its not the coach its the chairman, or the ground and new stadium situation. Fans feed off positivity and that's in small supply .
Most of the fans that contribute want to be part of a club that can be seen to develop and progress , and from time to time to be encouraged and maybe listened to.
You only have to look at the other boards to see all supporters have views about coaches out, team selection and are more than willing to give coaching advice .
The problem we have we have that much to have a go at at any given time.

I'm sure your right, in fact I know your right and I agree with all your points, I cannot speak with any authority regarding the chairman as I've only seen him once, there are things about him that don't sit right with me regarding his attitude at times and the way he sometimes goes about running the club, and I suppose he'll stand or fall by his actions. Personally I just keep my mouth shut and let him get on with it, there's more important things in life to deal with, but I do accept the fans right to criticise him even though some of them labour the point some what, but even on a positive thread those three manage to turn into something negative finished off with a snide sarcastic remark.

| I will try to make it easier for some of the less articulate posters why I think MC is to blame. In his two years he has turned the club into a joke both on and off the field. We are derided as embarrassing, I know we have had problems when Ted was in charge but we used this to our advantage in proving them wrong year after year.
We now have a situation where we have no ground for next season, played a full season with probably our worst set of scores and all I read is MC via his Twitter account lambasting the supporters for not supporting the team, some of us maybe stupid but at least give us some credit. I note he says why not just come and face me direct, if that is what he wants arrange a fans meeting so he and us can air our views. This however is never suggested and he now uses the same account to have a go at a potential sponsor, basically accusing him of only going for the free food and drink, how low can ho go to finish our club.
I know he saved the club even though he was involved with the previous regime but for what another season of penny pinching both on and off the field. I admire those who blindly accept our fate and I am sure so does he but I cannot forgive what he has currently done to the club in the eyes of many supporters and the RL in general.
I will leave it to those who continue to believe he is the messiah to continue to deride us that don't but remember he is just a naughty chairman. I will leave that for others to explain.

So you would rather MC go out and overspend this season?
Thus putting us back in the same position we have been for the last few seasons?
Or take a chance on balancing the books, keeping the house in order and scrap through this season on an even keel?
I believe we will stay up but there will still be people like yourself, who will look for any excuse to slag the club off.
I preferred it when you were Agent XIII.

I probably fall somewhere between the two positions outlined in the OP; I am neither 100% supportive nor 100% critical of the way the club is run - I express an opinion on an issue by issue basis, and I try to be sensible about it.
The things I am critical about, generally, are things I do know something about; I'm not an accountant and I don't have technical knowledge of the financial affairs of corporate bodies, so I keep fairly quiet on that. I do run a company though - a much larger one than WTW will ever be - and I do have some insight into managing operations, organisational culture and sales and marketing; so when I'm critical, I try to be constructively so and on matters I have some knowledge about.
I'm not sure if that puts me on the list of 3 or not, and I'm not especially bothered either way, but I will always be a critical friend to an organisation that has been a big part of my life since I was 8 years old; and one which I'd like to see being successful and adding some value to the cultural life of the city I was unfortunate enough to be born in. If MC can't engage with people who care enough to have a view, he's on a hiding to nothing.

Not sure why you would believe that you were one of those three culprits I mentioned in a previous post, I'm not privvy to your train of thoughts so only you know's why. Personally I don't get involved in rumours or speculation and do not get involved in matters I neither understand or know nothing about, having said that I have no problem with those that do, it's what makes the world go round and adds interest to what sometimes can be a tad boring on here, the usual suspects I refer to fwiw are wilsay, kalashnikov and scarlet or what ever she's calling herself now, as I've said before it's difficult to argue with quite a few of their points they put across, it's the attitude and constant berating of the club at every opportunity that I find unacceptable.

Now that raises a whole different question...
Would people support a "franchised" team that was to rise from the ashes of Wakefield Trinity should it cease to exist in its current incarnation.
Me, I'm not sure....
