Leigh getting beat by Halifax, which will all but end their chances of promotion,
leaving us to battle it out with The Bulls in the 4/5 game ?

I know we shouldn't rely on others but could Sheffield and Widnes do us a favour?????

Sheffield will not beat Salford, so no.

We need to win our next two which we once thought would be easy first.
Then if possible we need some big points.
We could still catch Salford but it's a big could now.

I'm watching every result with interest, Bradford, Leigh and Halifax could yet end up with 4 points each so points difference would come into play. Even Sheffield who still have 3 games left and 2 points in the bag could get to 4. It's still all up in the air, we've just about blown our chance of 3rd and have to rely on Salford losing at Widnes and Hull KR in their last 2 (can't see them cocking it up later today) and us winning our last 2 by some distance. Too many if only's again for us and not beating any of our Super League rivals sums up where we are. So while there's still a chance we'll just have to hope we can sneak 3rd.

Without divine inspiration, we wont get 3rd spot.
It's really disappointing that we couldn't beat any of our SL rivals in the middle 8's, albeit with close results against Salford and KR but, the bottom line is, if we beat Sheffield and Fax we will play in the 4/5 game and it's really just a matter of who our opposition will be and it looks as though it will be Bradford.

Halifax wont be easy and with some of our better skilled players likely to be out a difficult proposition

You never know, Fax may win three on the bounce & end up right amongst it

If we play with the same commitment as yesterday they will turn us over.

Although, I'm still at a loss as to why we didn't turn up against Widnes.

The reason for our "performance" yesterday, was to ensure that we gained some additional income from the extra game



Personally, I'd have been happier with the relative security of not having to go right down to the wire but, an extra few grand in the pot might come in handy.
Seriously though, Widnes although nowhere near world beaters, have totally embarrassed us twice this season and it will be interesting to see how we turn things round for next week.

The team were in training this morning at Total Fitness, lets just hope we can actually win our next 2 games.

Hope Smith sat them down andshowed them the comments from supporters and then gave them the hardest training session ever! Im still fuming about last night.

The thing here is that Salford need a big win to cushion against us catching them on points difference. Not taking Sheffield or Halifax for granted but we should be favourites to win and if we can rack up scores in both games we might get above Salford.

I'm feeling better that Salford didn't rack up a greater points differential today, (roughly seventy up on Wakey) now it's just down to your sorry lot & Hull K.R putting them to the sword, oh, & us to beat Fax & Sheffield - I'm not sure which is more likely.

We have been thrown a life line, can we take it.

Fax beating Leigh by a better score than we managed

87 points in the Salford v Sheffield game so if defences are not on top we might have a chance there.

You would have half expected them to put 50+ on them, but a bit surprising they let them score 34 points in return, I hope their defence is as bad against Widnes and KR.

A draw will ensure both Widnes & Salford will be top three!!

Sheffield were the better team by some distance and scored quite a few exceptional tries. Strange statement I know but Salford scored 4 or 5 tries in the last few minutes of each half as Sheffield ran out of steam. This put an unjustified air of respectability on the scoreline which flattered Salford. Had Sheffield been full time they may well have not only won the game but humiliated Salford in the process.

We can not take them lightly, they are playing these games free from pressure and look like they're enjoying the experience.

I think it will still be Leigh , think they will beat Bradford next week and then beat an already safe Widnes the week after to finish on 8 points
