Good short term investment. When he first joined Trinity he made a good impression. He did fade somewhat towards the end, but if he is anywhere near match fit I would risk signing him.

You can't criticise Lynne for his pace of all things he's pretty quick from what I've seen, we just never make a break to see it

What a class try that was, it's easy to forget how good we were that year, shame we didn't have enough money to keep the team.

As said Lee Smith if near match fit may be a decent signing if at the right price for a centre spot but if unfit and carrying 'some timber' it may be too late to get him match fit and embedded into the team for the Middle 8's.

He can't be demanding big money at his age released from Rugby Union surely?

Think he got a pay bump when he went to Newcastle. No club now so sure he'll be happy with what he can get - on paper seems a good fit to any with a realistic outlook on our budget but if he has to be match fit or within a couple of weeks from being that.

Having not been subject to clawsons conditioning regime he might actually be more match fit than the current squad!

He thinks he's ready to go, and I think as a short term fix and a chance to put himself back in the shop window it would be a decent fit for both parties, unless Brian Smith has someone better lined up.

Is his Father in law still involved at board level or did he go with the last lot?
