| I know I should get things in proportion and when things happen like the Danny Jones tragedy I suppose it should put things in perspective but I can't help feeling really depressed at the moment and I know it is the plight of Trinity that is getting me down. It just seems to be affecting my whole mood at work and at home and making me irritable. I wouldn't mind the fact that we have only one two games it's the manner of the defeats the embarrassment and the lack of an hour that things will improve on or off the field. In 54 years of supporting the team I've never felt like this. I wonder if it affecting anyone seen in the same way?

| Nope, it's a sport, a past time.
Defeats/poor performances are annoying/frustrating but there are more important things in life to focus on.

All fans deal with it differently to others, but having supported the club for well over fifty years it's not surprising you feel as you do at this present time considering the doom and gloom surrounding the club.

| 40 years supporting the club, and whilst the current situation is pretty dire, it is, as others have said, only a game.. There are really important things in this world to get upset / depressed about, personally, supporting a rugby League team ain't one of them.
We have been here before, been in adminstration, had appaling runs of form, had players not give a toss (allegedly), if we get relegated so be it, if we go under, so be it, bet lets be honest, it's not the end of the world. )* having said that it would be horrible for the people that lost their jobs if we did go under.)
Chin up, you never know we might actually win a game or two...

| I used to get the same way but after 50 years I don't have the same reactions. Having said that the reason results have been close to sending me round the twist. I now accept that the club will for the rest of my lifetime continue in the same vain and nothing I can do will change that. Annoying and frustrating yes, avoidable probably, life threatening no. Until the clubs under the ownership of a wealthy benefactor I don't see an end to the clubs fortunes, or maybe an owner that can take an odd risk or so. Mcs statement in the Y E P welcomed but once again puts the entire owness on the supporters and sakes for continued support and I'm sure from the majority of season ticket holders he will get it, but to take the club foreword we need more supporters and a little mor official communication and understanding.

You should think yourself very lucky, you were actually around to witness the glory years .
The best I’ve had in forty odd years, is a lack-lustre defeat in the ‘79 C.C Final.
But ultimately you play the cards your dealt, unless you ask for another hand, knowing full well it can never be the same – a hollow impersonation.

| At certain times during my younger days, Wakefield had a decent team but still managed to give me stomach pains and headaches! Felt really down sneaking out of Lightstream Stadium last Thursday night but that's water under the bridge now. Every game is a fresh start and a chance to turn the corner and I would hate not to be present. Looking forward to a close match up with a classy Leigh side on Sunday.

A bit, of course it does otherwise whats the point in supporting - however I'd have to add by saying nowhere near as much as it used to.

I don't believe you for one second - I accept you have it in perspective but if winning or losing doesn't affect you emotionally I have to ask what you get out of it. If it were just sporting excellence you could drive a further 10 miles to Headingley - bet you never will

| You turn up hoping for a win. Games you expect a win are often lost, now and again you get a result from a game you never expected. Leeds Wigan St Helens Warrington fans turn up expecting a win week in week out. For me it's more about belonging to a club and having my team Wake to support. However it's difficult to feel part of a club that on the face of it don't seem to care or understand the fans .I don't see anything in the letter from M C that will get hearts racing or impress the casual turn up on the day supporter. Actions always speak louder than words.

Spot on here, it's about belonging to and feeling part of the club, unfortunately you don't sense that feeling this season, both coach and to a lesser extent the chairman remain distant from the fans failing miserably to involve the fans in anyway at all.
