Absolutely devastated to hear this I played with Danny quite a few years back when I was ready for finishing and he was just getting started, I honestly cannot believe this has happened and I send my deepest sympathy to his family at this terrible time. RIP Danny you will be sadly missed.

I can only echo what my fellow Trinity supporters have said. So sad that a young man with his life in front of him should have it cut short. RIP Danny

Reading through the donations there's a £200 win bonus donation from Leigh player Ryan Brierley, £100 from Ben Cockayne and £50 from James Elston, great to see the RL family rallying round this sad event and helping out that family when they really need it.

Its over £18,000 now in less than a day!

But the way the rugby league community has responded has been nothing short of magnificent. I certainly will be making my way up on Sunday for the Keighley vs Coventry game to pay my respects.
