Apparently Matt Ryan has been bravely playing with a severe shoulder injury which affects his ability to grip the ball and make tackles. Now that we"re safe he is having an opperation to fix it but will be ruled out for the remainder of the season. James Webster also says that safe or not, Ryan could not be asked to put his body on the line again this season, he's gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we are safe and can't do it anymore.

He's been a great addition to our team this year and along with Moore is a player who I could not level a single complaint at in terms of his attitude and desire even when we were at our worst.

Done all that has been asked of him and above,stand out and most consistent player this season for me,hope he gets fixed up soon and comes back even better next season.

Against widnes he was holding his arm after a tackle , he got back up and tackled the next man, puts his heart and sole into the game . Love his attitude ..

As others have stated a person who plays 100% every second he is on the field. Glad he is getting it sorted out ready for next season. Also, people who moaned at him knocking on Sunday now understand why. I noticed in numerous games all this season he has been holding his arm due to a shoulder problem.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - one of the best value imports we've had in ages; came with little fanfare, pulled on the jersey and has given 100% for the club in every game he's played - even when others around him weren't.

This sounds like a good decision by JW - if he comes back fully fit for next season, I can't imagine him doing anything other than more of the same; speedy recovery!

Explains the dropped ball on the try line against Catalan. He's been a great signing for WTW and has played a key part in keeping Trinity up. Playing at that level with such an injury shows the commitment.
