Why can't I buy a ticket for the Castleford game on the website? I live in Derbyshire so I don't want to make a special journey to Wakefield to buy one from the club shop. I. Could last season. Now all I get is either buy a season ticket if I click on the main Buy Tickets link or worse tickets for last season's games on the Match Tickets link. Not very professional. Now I know someone will tell me I should ring the club but thats not the point. Do you really think you get the same thing on the Leeds Wigan Saints etc sites?

I know it's difficult for you mate but will Leeds, Wigan or Saints be running on an office shoestring?

I should say its no consolation at all to poynton he's said what happened when he tried I presume there was nothing there to tell him what was happening

In this day and age you are absolutely right. It is important to be able to sell your product on line. It's an area we should improve.
However, life at Wakefield is not that simple unfortunately as we all know.
We are not Leeds, Sts or Wigan. Just the same as Lidl's web site is not as good as Marks and Spencer's. Should they be better, yes. Can they afford the investment over other fundamental issues. probably not.

So, I think we should try and improve it and I reckon in 21st Century Wakefield you could probably get the web equivalent of snowie to do it for free but at the same point, I'm happy that we sorted out wages and creditors before we did this, so for now I can live with it.
I don't see that as defending the club, I see that as being pragmatic and understanding.

You used t be a world class bus conductor and have forgotten more about selling tickets than the rest of the Universe put together. You've worked with the likes of Butler and Blakey and can remember the days when you could hang out of the back door of an old Ossett 120 double decker while issuing tickets faster than the eye can see.

This Will increase ticket sales and is so simple to set up. We don't have to post just have them ready on match day.

Having read the link put on by Overground it does seem we are intending to move in the right direction. I will certainly make us of the e- ticket system. Sounds great. Moan over.

It is definitely overdue and good that the club are looking to rectify this.

However if Daddy Cool, Hetherington or anyone else with the club are reading this then please, please, please don't make the mistake Hull KR made.

Last season a colleague of mine (a Hull KR fan) advised me to buy my tickets for the seated area online. He said they were considerably cheaper online when bought in advance plus we could choose our seats. (I'm a Wakefield fan who lives close to Hull.)

I duly went online and order 4 e-tickets for our match there. After ticking and confirming everything it was about to process when it came up with a postage charge. There was no way to remove this even though it was e-tickets I was ordering.

I completed the transaction and the postal charge was still there. I then incurred a further cost (minor I know) of paper, ink and electricity by printing out the 4 tickets.

With the postal charge (for no postal service at all) the tickets actually cost me more than if I'd bought them on the day!

I called Hull KR, explained the situation and asked for a refund of the charges for postage. They said they would look into it and refund me the money.

To date I've not received any refund.

I'll never use the Hull KR site again to buy match tickets.

We've been here before. I had a similar experince when Mr Glover was with us. Phone usually gets you the result though. I think they are doing their best and are a nice crew too.
