Batley will no doubt play him in a proper Trout position which will later lead into interest from other clubs , by this time his loyalty my by wearing thin and in a few years he will no doubt be crossing the wrong side of the whitewash for us wakey lot

He hasn't developed enough physically for the straight forward type of game he plays (run hard, tackle hard) IMHO. If this area is addressed he could yet become a good super league standard player but is still short of it.

He probably needs to speak to the other Kyle who now plays for St. Helens who has worked on his size, strength and conditioning over the last few years to great effect and now is one of the best props in the game. Needs to bulk up another stone of muscle and move into the front row insufficient pace/skill out wide for second row.

Could this be the reason why our juniors don't develop like other teams?
As this thread seems to be about chucking him on the scrap heap at 20 or 21?
Amor was at Whitehaven, got bought by Leeds and still played at Whitehaven the following season.
Amor is now 26, will be 27 at the end of May, so cut Trout some slack, still got 2 or 3 years left before he gets slung on the scrap heap!

Yep you're right he can play for us in the championship next year. Amor was signed by Leeds at 22 Trout is 23 now.

Amor worked on his physique but he worked just as hard on every other area of his game including but not only, footwork, game sense, prehab, rehab, diet etc etc etc. Much of that, any voluntary extras and how hard you work comes down to the drive and the passion of the individual, some say they'll do it or have done it but maybe they have or maybe they haven't. Kyle Amor obviously did it and did it conscientiously and we can see the results, I don't know whether Kyle Trout has applied himself quite as diligently as Kyle Amor has and I'm not suggesting for one second that he hasn't, I'm just pointing out one [upossible difference[/u between the two..

It's worth adding that a) Amor was already better than Trout before he applied himself as Leeds spotted and b) most other players in Super League have not 'appled themselves' as diligently as Amor has.
He is a great advert for what can be done, while at an unfashionable club like Wakefield

To be fair to Kyle Trout he has been told to bulk up to play prop (which he did), was then asked to slim down to play back row (which he did), just prior to been asked to bulk up again.
To say he has been messed about is an understatement. Basically, Agar thinks there is a good player there, but does'nt know what to do with him.
