Disgraceful decision, another total cop out by the RFL.

They constantly reinforce the protocol that if you have a final/big game in your next few fixtures you are untouchable.

I am not one of the Wigan fans that thinks he should be dropped and hence a ban would mean he could not be selected.

Bowen is a World Class player, but that was just a very silly move on his part and he should have picked up a ban. Decisions like this damage the credibility of our game.

One thing we need is consistency, but I will guarantee you if someone does a similar tackle in the future assuming they are not about to play in a final they will be banned.

I would play Rocky Hampshire ahead of Bowen anyway.

An entirely predictable outcome; equally predictable is that a tackle like this will take place in a SL game in the coming weeks and the offender will be warming the bench for a few games.

The RFL really don't do themselves any favours do they?

I think the RFL didn't ban him so they have a better chance of winning the WCC, in my opinion Wigan going to need everyone they can..

I don't like thugs and McIllorum is one of the worst; I find nothing in his style of play to admire.

If you felt the same way about Terry Newton playing in a Wakefield shirt fair play. People like different styles of player. I love a bit of mongrel in my hooker that's why Newton will always be one of my favorite players and Micky McIllorum is also one of my current favorite players.

nothing wrong with a bit of grunt but both players have been guilty of purposely taking a player out and with Newton it was a bit nasty.

As I said, I can find nothing to admire in a player who's greatest attribute is a sly dig or a short fuse, regardless of what colour shirt they're wearing.

I think you do both Newton and McIllorum a disservice if you think the ability to give a sky dig was/is their "greatest attribute".
