Got to get the media on board.

LONG gone are the days when the Wakey Exp was the main form of news for Wakey Trin. I used to enjoy turning up early at the newsagents to read the Trinity news . I think the express could play a major part in the revival of our club. The last admin relied on twit, and made a mash of it.

There's the media and there's "just the Express" as it's been in the past.

Couldn't have put it better myself & still don't understand why it's 'The Express' or nothing.

Ridings FM? Despite the decline in print media the Express probably still represents the best outlet to get news/promotions regarding the club to potemtially interested targets. The dedicated will get their news online one way or another. The casual support will see it in the Express or likely not at all. I don't see an issue with giving them exclusives.

Exactly, already in the last week or so we have seen MC use the radio and TV media in order to outline. the clubs improved health.
I'm no fan of the Express particularly, but many people are, and if that means people who would ordinarily not get to here about news from the club from any other source can get it from their then that has got to be good.

Bearing in mind that you don't just get one opportunity a week to get your story out, the club has always criminally underused other forms of media in comparison to the Express.

'We were 30 minutes from the brink...'Also plenty on @WTWildcatsRL signings, finances, fixtures, @SuperLeague survival and the reality of that move to Newmarket Stadium.

Would anybody in Wakey be able to summarise what has been printed this morning then for a Barnsley-based office-tied trinitarian who won't be able to get hold of a newspaper?

Only thing express was ever any good for was finding out local football results....before the days of t'internet...mobile phones etc.....reports from the courts worth a scan over but not enough to buy paper when football results were easier to get hold of.......to be fair though a good relationship with the local rag and if they actually got behind us like they should then its not such a bad thing....

That is a vile story. I'm not sure why they chose to include 'Wildcats' in the headline though - it has absolutely no bearing on the article and serves only to link the club to a child pornography case.

As ever, our abusive relationship with the WE continues; for every positive thing they do, they seem driven to do an equal or greater amount of harm.

I remember a forum at the start of AG's tenure when Mark Bradley was a speaker; I asked the question "Why does the Wakefield Express hate Wakefield Trinity?" On this evidence, nothing much appears to have changed.

The YEP, also owned by Johnston Press, has gone for 'Ex-rugby player' as it serves whole of Yorkshire rather than the local area.
