Whether we feel he deserves it or not if his contract stated he was entitled to a pay off then he should get his money. And given Elstons apparent history in giving out contracts then we probably owe him a fortune.

Did he not leave during the spell that MC was the part time accountant therefore he would be aware and it should not come as a shock.

Must say one thing. How much have we payed out to players we no longer want over the last two years. It must be a fortune. As a club we cannot do this on a regular basis.

I would guess that MC would be the first one to suggest that he should have got more involved at that time. I also suspect that this is part of the driving force behind his willingness to try and sort this out.

The timing is unfortunate, given that we are now trying to build again, but I'm sure it can be handled.

On the other hand I also think that agentXIII is entitled to ask his questions and some of us on here were guilty of not doing so under the previous regime and now also live in regret!

I have no doubt they were at fault, all I was pointing out was that MC was the accountant at the time so should have been aware. It should therefore not come as a surprise to him so let's not get too carried away with your glorification of MC.
What does concern me however, is he now being ignored by the club or is he referring to the previous incumbents.

IT could also be that Southern sees a chance to take advantage, and that Wakey owe him nowt.

MC himself has explained that and I can only take in good faith his suggestion that he wished he'd done more at the time; I also have no reason to doubt his information - that the books weren't a true reflection of the income and expenditure and crucially, the debtors that actually existed.

I'm not glorifying or indeed vilifying anyone - learnt my lesson on that score; I'm just trying to avoid massive knee-jerk overreaction. You should try it, you may appear more credible.

Words you do not often hear ` TRB is right `in that Agent X111 should be asking questions. I am sure this forum is not the ideal place for some of those questions. There is a an old adage that was often quoted to me by my old boss which said :

don`t tell mr what I am doing right, tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can improve.

I suggest that the people who surrounded AG were either to scared ( for their jobs ) or not well enough informed so just became yes men, I am sure that MC, KH and CB will welcome constructive criticism. They will want their strategy to be questioned so flaws can be highlighted and corrected. They have a tough job, they have to balance the books, keep historic creditors happy and somehow not get relegated, a very very difficult task.

If I were MC i would invite agent X111 and others to a monthly meeting to talk over plans to try and find fault.

Seeing how he has got his lawyers involved he and they must think there is a case. Either way if what he says is correct to just ignore them is out of order, it should be sorted one way or another in an amicable manner.

Thing is just because he says so on twitter does not make it so.

No reason to doubt steves word but we have to be carefull.

Just because one person is critical does not make him or her right, nor make them the voice that should be listened to.
If MC wants to talk to people to gain opinion, I would hope all, whether positive or negative are canvassed.

Also, on your bosses comment, the "how I improve" part seems to be missing from the current feedback.

I wouldn't take what an ex-player says on Twitter to be the absolute truth or indeed, the whole story; fortunately, despite what some people seem to think, legal matters are not resolved on social media.

Hence I said IF correct. The part that concerns me the most is the bit where he says the club are not responding to his lawyers. Again IF that part is true (and admittedly there's no guarantees it is) then that is out of order. What we don't need is anymore harm doing to our reputation, it is hard enough for us to bring players in from abroad as it is.

I don't see any value in speculating, other than to spread a bit of pre-emptive doom and gloom; in legal matters, there is often a time limit for a response - that might make the client get a bit impatient, but it doesn't mean the club's lawyers are not responding - they're just not responding immediately.

As I say - speculation can only do harm.
