| I am curious because the club is not going to reach the season ticket threshold set by MC and apparently we have only reduced our cash flow problem to £300,000 how many more of the current squad are we going to need to offload before we have released sufficient funds to actually start signing new players. We are running out of players who can be sold for cash so I presume they will need to transfer their attention to reduce the salary bill, the downside to this is that you need to offload a greater number of players to have the same effect on the debt that money from a sale will produce.
I fear the board has painted itself into a corner so unless they are able to generate additional income away from season tickets sales a greater number of players will need to be offloaded than would have been necessary.

As many as it takes. Trinity don't have a rich backer and dont have a large core of support who will purchase a full price season ticket. The books have to be balanced somehow.

| As you rightly say we aren't gonna sell loads of season tickets, I'd guess we'll finish selling when DK, Ben C, Justin Poore and Paul Aiton have all been sold, sad but that's where we find ourselves unfortunately.

I'd add Collis to that list as well but aftet that theres probably not much transfer value left in the remaining players.

| Is Agent XIII James Elston as has been mentioned on here before. If so he really has a sad little existence.

| Wasn't the 300k reached about 2 weeks back? There has been 2? Sponsorships signed. Aiton has left since along with Amor? So there would be more off the 300k plus more ST sales all be it not a massive amount.

| The £300,000 was after all the player sales other than Aiton and Cockayne so yes it could be down to £200,000 shortly but I wonder if that that would be announced. I doubt we would get any money for Poore & Collis because of their nationality.
This means that because of the way our situation was announced by MC until we exceed a saving of £400,000 we cannot sign any players. I would expect that if this figure is to be reached before MC will release any money we can expect to see the majority of our first team squad sold or released.
The people on here who feel this is a price worth paying just remember that when we are being trounced on a weekly basis and our crowds are down to around 5,000 if we are lucky, You will be able to shout to the supporter next to you that it is worth it. I hope MC has not budgeted for crowds like last season because he is going to be greatly disappointed the way the team is shaping up.
To those who think I am James Elston I am not and unlike some on here I do not have a sad little existence nor do I live in the world according to the board.

If I was Carter I would offer you a good discount on Poore if you'd take fox back as part of the deal.

I still find it hard to understand why you trot out this anti MC stuff bit but never raised an eyebrow when JE and AG were wracking the debt/causing the future cash flow problem in the first point.
Why we're you so anonymous then but such a tediously vocal one trick pony now?
I doesn't stack up, it really doesn't!!

In all fairness Kinley the harris licking of Glover and Elston carried on strongly on these boards right up to the final few days of their demise. Anyone who dared to suggest the truth was branded an idiot by many on these forums.
Quite a few had a good idea what the pair of clowns were up to but decided not to post their concerns.

I think this is the nub of the problem as I have pointed about on here over the last few weeks and not received an answer!
Before people start banging on about me being Andrew Glover I would point out that they were probably the same people who said 1.2 million loss was fine in the first year ...

| I had no reason to doubt the previous regime as I said all I saw as a supporter were ground improvements, a better squad and players being signed on long term contracts. We were held up to be a success and the crowd numbers increased accordingly. I was not part of the inner circle like many of you were, but I don't remember all of you highlighting any problems, a few did but the majority did not and that includes some who now appear to criticise me.
I am still not part of the inner circle but I know it is not the Trinity way or any RL club to wash their dirty laundry in public. I am not picking on MC because of him as a person but the way he chooses to run the club in public. How many of you actually know how we stand financially, we keep selling players but do you know if it is necessary. Is it now based on an ideological stance because of the corner they have painted themselves into and the majority of you accepting that relegation is an acceptable byproduct. It is not difficult to produce a team on the cheap look at Salford last season but that does not usually lead to success just relegation and further reduction in our funding.
Why did we back Leeds because no vote was due to be taken at that meeting and if it had and been passed we would increase our chances of relegation. We owe the six that walked out I know they did it for their own agendas but it suits us at this time. If the board is thinking of the club they would take the opportunity to reduce the chances of relegation because it may help them to just about survive with a threadbare squad due to the state London is in.

2 winding up orders and countless CCJ's gave you no reason to doubt the previous regime? There were improvements made but unfortunately we are paying for them now.

| If you were part of SWAG then surely you were a member and went to meetings with the previous board. I ask did you raise the issue with them at these meetings or did you just concentrate on Newmarket with the exclusion of everything else.

Not quite the way it was with bazzo but yes you did. I admire your loyalty to Bazz but he did overstep the mark as he suggested something was about to transpire that didn't at a time that was potentially bad for the club, not AG or JE but the club - there is a difference. His heart was in the right place but knowing the truth is one thing, telling it is another. Despite what some say on here openness is not always the best thing - I can't help but think it would be a far easier club to sell if it were not for the endless negative gossip bandied about mainly by Trinity fans - true or false.
Let's also be a little fair, most people were not in a position to really know the true horror and in all fairness Glover was great at selling Glover.
Personally I was hounded from the start for suggesting Glovers contribution was pure "window dressing" which it was.
I was also derided by certain very verbal and quite respected posters on here when I suggested that our assembled squad was way more expensive than was being let on. I gave it chapter and verse and was told I knew nothing, yet to me it was obvious we'd crash and burn.
I think the whole AG thing was a case of people believing what they wanted to believe - it's not the first time in sport or many other things that that has happened and it won't be the last.
Maybe pompous eccentric loons like myself are worth a listen every now and then.
One final dig at the "Glover" poodles from the so called "Ted poodle".
It took Ted 15 years to finally crash at Wakefield, Glover did it in three! enough said.

Vasty i got told the very same day about the Admin, after weeks of knowing we were on the brink.
The only reason it did not happen was because the RFL said no chance, not this time, sort it or do one.
I actually think bazz did us all a favour, at least the blinkered heads on here lifted from the sand to condem him.

| If we look at the first team squad from last season we currently have 14 signed up and that includes Poore and Molloy. I guess the Australians etc will not arrive until later so that reduces the squad to about 10 plus the juniors. My concern is that this must be so discouraging for our remaining experienced players and could lead to them thinking why bother I am free to go and this club is dying.
If we intend to work with a minimum squad of about 25 then we will currently need to recruit another 10 or 11 players and that is if we do not lose anymore. We had better start making plans soon or we will not have a team to start the season.

| Good point Vasty that ordinary fans such as myself were not in a position to know what was going on behind the scenes.
All did seem well for awhile with even the RL and Sky Sports talking us up.
At the time when things were seemingly going OK to the ordinary fan, who is not 'in the know,' it did come over as rather negative, the criticism of the last regime.
Of course I and many others were taken in and that is why this time around we are finding it so hard to take.
