Now is the time to do the opposite. Get down to the club state " I got last years season ticket too cheap here is the extra £50 I should have paid. 4000x50 =£200k. Well on the way to problem being solved.
As many said when the original offer was made £7 per game was never sustainable, we are now suffering as a result.

Most of RL was asking if those cheap season ticket deals would be sustainable for you guys, answer coming out of Belle Vue was yes because we make more on food etc on match days.
All we as normal fans can do is follow the folk that run clubs and hope they know what they are doing and are steering in the right direction.
For what its worth I don't mind contributing a few quid for you guys.

Am I alone in looking forward to a relegation battle (provided we win it!)? I'm looking forward to going to games where every one means something, rather than seeing whether we will make the magical eight or not, and from which point our season ends a week later.

I'd rather be battling at the top, but at least I'll be captivated, enthralled, frustrated, angry, disappointed, exhilarated for 27 rounds, rather than the somewhat meh feeling sometimes.

What I want in return is that the RFL doesn't close a blind eye to clubs like wigan who bought their way out of the relegation battle and to stick to the foundation rules who ever is struggling next season

There were lots of criticism from other fans which was good to see.

Some of the people commenting on the facebook page are first class idiots. Asking for further reductions, refunds, genuine irratic complaining. What part of financial crisis do they not understand

According to the club's official twitter feed, the spread plan payment for season tickets has been extended into September. Perhaps it might have been to the club's advantage to at least put this as a news item on their website. (Although it is mentioned in the Chairman's statement)
But then again, we don't need any more season ticket holders

I think in the circumstances I would cut the club some slack - there are not as many around to do these things as there were!

Some people are putting some of the blame of this situation down to the cheap season tickets. But would we have met the required amount of ST holders outlined by the RFL in the last round of franchises without this? I doubt it.
In theory it was a good idea to get people through the gates (even though they may have been a little under priced). But part of the downfall for me is when these people are through the gates, there's not enough food/merch outlets for them to spend the extra cash in. Numerous times i've wanted a beer and their either sold out or can't be bothered walking to the other side of the ground

I don't think its the cheap season tickets that have fetched the problems more of the over spending,

the amount of new ST holders did the trick increasing from a 1k to 4k with attendances well up and should be increasing with the regenerated atmosphere

the price increase since the £100 ST has risen to compensate to the current financial climate but we should be sell twice this many at this price, just what do rugby fans want when football can generate so much money

Anyone who walks into the shop asking for their money back should be humanely destroyed and their remains left outside on the pavement as a warning to others.
