Im sure quite a few in there 40's on here would know him as an amateur player, just heard the bad news that he has died.

I saw him a few months ago and didn't recognise him he'd lost loads of weight.

He was my uncle and yes was a heartattack at the gym and yes was brother of marquis

I knew him. Acquaintance rather than friend. Sad news.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Was in the same class at snapey for a while, a great smile ill never forget.

That's shocked me - I knew Julian as a kid on Lupset; he was a couple of years younger than me and a good mate of my little brother. Quite a character Julian was - very sad news.

I've known for years, from the days we used to play for Eastmoor as kids, to the days of going to rooftops etc. Only spoke to him a month or so ago as well. Yes he was at the gym down Thornes and apparently had a heart attack.

It'll be one hell of a turnout for him.

One hell of bloke, and all who new him when he was younger know how he liked to live it up and I've some good memories of doing that with him...Funny how we age but our mind doesn't I can still picture him outside Mr Oldroyd's (Deputy head Teachers) office on daily basis.

It was indeed a heart attack which he suffered at approximately 4:00pm yesterday while at Thornes Park gymnasium.

The whole family, in particular Rachel and Marquis, are absolutely devastated and will take some time to accept that the big fella has actually gone.

He was a very much loved Uncle to Rachel and Marquis's children and they are also equally upset by the suddenness of his loss.
He was a big guy with a big character and a big warm smile, he'll be fondly remembered by a huge amount of people who knew him.

Genuinely lovely bloke. He will be sorely missed.

I knew Jules through the club scene and often bumped into him in Wakey and Leeds. Always had time for a chat and a laugh and I always found him a genuine easy going bloke.

Jules had a big heart and I'll always fondly remember him.

R.I.P mate

I was in his sisters Rachel s class and I used to beat him up when he was at Waterton. (If you know how big or should i say little I am then you would be smiling...)

He then grew considerably, but we still used to have a laugh together on the rare occasions that I saw him.

As an amateur player I will always remember him as a manor boy.

Funny bloke and on his day could play a fair bit.

I really enjoyed playing alongside him for Manor 1992-1993 when we won Wakefield Sevens at Thornes in July 1993 and Leicester Rugby League Sevens.

Very sad that he has passed away. My condolences go to his family and close friends.
