As a long suffering Salford fan over on the Scarlet Turkey, we've rarely been bothered by opposition fans to any degree. Just the sub-normal element from Warrington that everyone has to put up with. However, since the Rangi Chase saga started we have a permanent bunch of brain-dead squatters from Castleford chipping-in with their 'superior' knowledge of everything.

You lot on here must have skin as thick as rhino hide. We only have to put up with them until the Chase stuff stops, yet you must have to put up with them permanently. My hats off to you Wakey fans, I just don't know how you do it.

We only get the more moderate ones on here. The really bonkers ones have their own 'special' forum - it makes the Fortean Times look like a scientific treatise!

Those ones are just cowards who can't face up to putting stuff on here. However Tigerade and co arent so bad

I think we may have attracted those characters out of the shadows. Every thread seems to be hijacked with their inane ramblings. I don't label every Cas fan, just the really bonkers ones like you said.

The fact we (well not me, I pay mine to Bradford now) have to underwrite their tin pot town through our council taxes is the worst part.

Have a gander at their private forum. The inmates are running the institution over there.

They do have a habit of becoming militant over issues that seriously impact upon their future. Losing Chase will almost certainly insure they are one of the bottom 2 clubs & that's before they lose Clarke. They act in a similar way to our progress with our new ground because they know it will cripple them in every facet. Suddenly a large number became active environmentalists, who passionately cared about a patch of land (in a city they hate).

Cas is a decent enough town, although it's still bouncing back from years of neglect. Wakefield and Cas have both suffered from being so close to Leeds and Meadowhall, where millions of private investment has gone leaving us to survive on Council investment which is nowhere near as bountiful.

I think I might just save this post for a rainy day.

The decent Cas fans are welcome on this board anytime, sadly most on the other forum are Banned, some maybe harshly but at times its been hard sorting the wheat from the chaff and a few may have suffered from that.

If you go on there you'll find some sensible decent posters still knocking around, the rest just blame the whole world for anything that does not go there way.

Most don't use the Cas rlfans forum anymore but thats everyones else's fault too.

We have one resident Cas fan on here that we just about tolerate

I have to say though, I had an email sent from a forum moderator about a mildly insulting term I used on here (and fair enough, my wrist was ringing and I have put it to bed) ......however a Salford fan comes onto a Wakefield forum and starts a topic with the SOLE purpose of ripping into the castleford fans on here?

The injustice stinks a bit if you ask me.

I also think, if I went on the Leeds forum and put "wakefield fans are tools!" you'd judge me far more than this fella who started this.

Not that I'm peurile enough to do that anyway... But if you keep tempting me, TRUST ME, I will do some research on CCj's

I have to say Dave is probably right - if the Salford fan in question wanted to complain about the behaviour of Cas fans, why didn't he do so on the Cas board? We only have 2 or 3 Cas posters on here these days and they seem jolly decent.

You do make a good point though. Although I noticed what the opening poster is referring to when I looked at the Salford forum, he is just trying to gain support from a "known enemy" of his enemy. Let them battle that one out. We have our own issues.
