| How good is Lee Smiths Goal Kicking at the moment, absolutly quality.
That is one thing we seem to have struggled with over the last 5-6 years (Apart from Sykes and maybe Rooney)
Can remeber when March was kicking goals!! Haa Haa

| Kicking to touch was awesome as well, huge distances gained.
BUT he was absolutely awful today, we (London) have some bad players but if we ignore the kicks I'd say he was the worst player on the pitch.

| Couldnt get there today, couldnt get off work.
But thats suprising, I wouldnt say he is the best we have but as a Utility player again, generally very consistant, which IMO isnt a bad thing.

| To be honest apart from his boot at the minute, Smith has absolutely nothing to offer in attack and defence. I don't know what's happened to him since his stint in a Leeds shirt, but with the wage I would imagine he is on I wouldn't be bothered if we replaced him at the end of the season.

| Lee Smith is a quality attacking threat, but i'm off the opinion he thinks he is alot better than he actually is. His versatility is his downfall, he needs to be kept at centre for a long stint to see him at his best.

Agreed! B4 his stint in Union he knew he was very good, but backed it up in all areas. I do agree he is not as effective as he used to be in attack and defence, but with his fitness increasing and the game time he is going through, can only get better.
We have seen what he is capable of, so we know he has a lot of potential, which is more than we can say for the likes of Mellars.

| Weren't his best performances for Leeds st fullback?
He won't displace Mathers and is worth a centre berth at the moment.

| I remember someone on here suggesting he should take penalties into touch rather than Sykes months ago. Brilliant kicking today I would give Smith a contract on the basis of his kicking and utility value !

| Think smith has been pretty decent this year. Not one of his better games on the field today but was very good with the penalty yard gains and conversions.
I think he contributes to the team well enough and would be happy to see him as our starting centre in 2014.

Funny you should say that, I said the same thing a few weeks ago to someone. That when you have a utility value, even though you might have a preferred position, you can sometimes fall into the jack of all trades master of none syndrome, when you're not used consistently in the same position.

| Was going to start the same thread. Outstanding kicking display but shocking in every other department. Lost the ball twice on the 1st tackle!

| He wasn't brilliant in open play today but he wasn't that bad and has had some good games recently so I would certainly give him a contract.

| If we could run a kicker on like American Football, he'd be first on the list - in these days of conservative percentage plays, he bucks the trend and puts in massive touch-finders; no slouch with conversions either.
In general play he runs hot and cold, but is a clever footballer and has good utility value - worth having around I'd say.

Agree, also once he settles properly into the centres he will improve as he goes along. Hopefully he does sign a contract and doesnt go elsewhere for $$$$$.

Agar will send him to Fev, maybe the coach at Fev will be able to do what Agar can't.
Scratch that Powells at Cas now busy trying to sign Mariano.

| Can't really say Lee Smith had a bad game, he hardly got any ball. Our attacking down the left side was almost non existent yesterday, it was frustrating at times as there were huge gaps in London's left side. When the ball looked to be going out left Tim Smith would throw the inside ball and go back right. Lauititi, Lee Smith and Cockayne were queuing up to score in that first half.

All players make mistakes but his two dropped balls on the first tackle were criminal and under no pressure!

Which bit?
The bit about a better coach getting the best out of him or him being signed by another club, i have no info on him signing for Cas just rumour and i think Powells a better coach than Agar.
