| Just watched Superleague Backchat from 11th of June, and when discussing International games, Danny Lockwood slipped up in saying that Mossop and Tomkins to the NRL.
Also watching other clips, his Man of Steel interview with Russell Crowe, basically said you want to come to South's then give me a call.
What do you lot think?

| Steveo is the worst. Dont know why I keep watching Backchat because it generally consists of Leeds Wigan Koukash or some other dribble.

| Souths are challenging for honours this time and it'd be nice to see them do it next year with five Englishmen in their squad.

Yea would be good to see, but Greg Inglis??.. Thats the Doubting factor for me. In all fairness tho, they could easily afford both of em.'"
as of next season the NRL clubs have a salary cap of $6.3m (£3.85m) and a club grant of $7.1m to cover that salary cap. The minimum a player, in the top 25 of his squad, will earn is $80000 (£49k).... I bet there are players in the top 10s in SL who aren't on 49k a year.
Now consider all the personal sponsorship, endorsements and additional fees for getting selected and playing representative rugby and all of a sudden your earnings are a lot more than in SL....not to mention the better lifestyle and everything else that comes with playing in the NRL.
Suddenly we notice that there is plenty of money for Tomkins and Inglis

Why not? Inglis is as devastating as anyone in the centres. Or do you think he is better spent in the halves?

Inglis is devastating where ever you put him he has the size, power and pace to play anywhere. Tomkins I think is abit to hit and miss under the highball and if he does play over there he'll get peppered IMO.

Maybe you're right about him under the high ball, but the way i see it is that he'll get the chance to shine....and he'll either sink or swim.

He might prove me wrong in being safe under those high bombs but I think he'll play in the halves.. Be interesting to see if he goes this year or next year with Wane.

| Tomkins will go to the Warriors next season. A shame but who can blame him. A once in a generation player but we will only know how good he is when he goes to the best comp in the world.
It will be interesting to see who replaces him, will we recruit or promote from within. Either way we lost 3 big players in Hoffman, Finch and Lima and have improved so although it will be sad not to see him plying his trade in Super League week in week out, Wigan will continue to improve as a team.

| Well he will have to get well versed in dealing with the high ball as thats the ploy the Ozzies played with him and look how bad he was then.Saying that not all the nrl full backs are great tacklers look at a certain one at Canterbury.Cant see him moving Inglis out of the fullback role so would imagine he would play 6.
