| I'm not sure its pandering to Leeds as such but the Sunday afternoon would have been a lot better for me.
It will be the 3rd time I have swapped shifts to accomodate this game and I'm getting rather fed up with it.

Well it made sense for both clubs for this fixture to be moved, so that was a wise coaching/playing decision. As for putting the fixture on the Friday night and 'pandering' to the Rhinos, if I know Andrew & James (which I do quite well now!) then I suspect they where the ones suggesting it to Gary The Sleeve, because it was always likely to bring the biggest possible away support while having little impact on home supporter numbers.
The call is about Wakefield maximising it's income from this fixture and quite frankly it is very hard to argue with that in the current climate!

seems sensible, most of our recent home games vs Leeds have been Friday and it will avoid any potential clashes with televised cup ties.

Makes sense all around. Bigger crowd, better atmosphere. My only surprise it wasn't shunted a month forward to coincide with the June CC weekend.

I wish I only missed as few games as you. I try my best to make double figures each season if I can (home and away) and I'm a season ticket holder. So no ticket refund on my ticket.
Thing is don't we play Leeds away about a week before? I'm going to miss that one too as I'm overseas. Great shame as I relish our matches with Leeds probably more than with any other club. |

Great !. I can make it now. On holiday on the 28th July. What a weekend. Trinity v Leeds on Friday, LimeHouse Lizzy at Mirfield Picturedrome on Saturday then off to Oz on Sunday.
