Think we need to use as many forwards as possible against Catalan, not the smallest of squads

Like you say Catalan aren't the smallest of squads and I'd sit wood out for that reason. In defence he will be a big target for Catalan forwards.

His influence from SO when tried has been minimal previously also. I'd probably rather see Wildie there than wood for this one if only from a more defensive point of view.

Can win game, keep it tight round the play the ball play on top of the half backs. Don't give silly pens away because Cats will . Open up in the second half .Wakey by 10+

If we play like we did against them in the first half at theirs the full game then we definitely should be looking at another 2 points.

The game is even more important now with Widnes beating St.Helens. We need our best form and the right 17 which must include a bench with Amor, Wilkes, Annakin and Molloy.

Lynne and Wood for me drop out of the 19 based on form.

Agree Lyne has been disappointing since his injury and doesn't seem to back himself when he has the pace.
Kyle Wood I feel isnt strong enough in defence especially against Catalans who have big forwards.

Another decent performance and we can definitely win this. They're a good side at home, not so great at traveling and tbf we should really have beaten them at their place. Score the points like we have been doing and a good defensive effort, I fancy us to win.

Looks to me like lyne needs to be playing on opposite side of the pitch, sadly for him it won't happen unless collis gets injured. Never backs himself to beat a man on the outside lately, wants to cut in field all the time.

If we go with 4 forwards on the pitch and something happens to one of the halves (or Aiton), we will be left without options, so Wood needs to be in the 17.
Plus, if Aiton gets knackered, Wood can give us some spark at the ptb.

Wood isn't in the form he was last season and doesn't offer the same impact from the bench which is probably why he didn't come on against widnes. We lacked go forward against Catalan last time.

If a half back gets injured then Lee Smith could play there.If Aiton gets injured Washbrook can play there. Kirmond can play centre. Big pack so we need a strong bench to ensure we win the forward struggle.

Fair comment about Wood, although the option of an interchange hooker is still a good one and at some point we will need decent cover at 9.
Kirmo didn't go well last time we tried him at centre, so we better stay injury free in our three quarters.
