The pass he gave to Cockayne for his try was fantastic could only be described as a money ball. He did this in the season he won rookie of the year for Parramatta and it's on youtube.

The lads pure class. If he didnt have so many off field problems over the years he would of been pushing for a New South Wales shirt. He was tipped to be the next big thing.

There's a bloke who stands near where I do and I think he's lost his voice.....slagged Smith off at every possible opportunity....up to about 7/8 weeks ago....not heard a peep from him since.....bet his wife is getting some right stick at home...

Patience is key, some have it, some don't. If any player should have the fans patience it's Tim Smith for obvious reasons.

Thought he played his junior rugby in New South Wales, like Inglis is from NSW but played first in Queensland.

I'm not too sure, I do know there was a court case on Inglis on which state he would represent.

Think he's from the Gold Coast, but you can choose which state you can play for.

His form mid season was poor...booing a wakey player never making your feelings known constructively..then yes. The problem with Smith is /was he came to us in our current manifestation as quite a big marquee signing...he set off like a house on fire at widnes and then his and the teams form went down hill. He is clearly a confidence player and at the moment yes he is one of the best scrum halves in the league. I am surprised quality teams have not sussed him out when defending tho he comes from the same scholl of inside ball as jamie rooney ! Hope he keeps it up next season.

I can see where you are coming from but smith is in a different class completely to old Roon dog. There is much more to Smith than an inside ball. Anyone cam tell the guy is a quick thinker and adjusts his passes last seconds to suit.

I put it to you all that right now, there isn't a better passer of the ball in SL than our very own Timmy Smith.

His passing is on par with Trent Barretts when he was at wigan. And we all know how good Trent was.

My belief in myself at judging quality players looks to be getting justified with the awards Smith is picking up tonight.......Members player of the year.....try of the year and Man of Steel for the Wildcats.....not a bad haul....

Also good to see him on occasion take on the line and look for gaps. He's found some consistency these last few months.

Crisp passing machine timing of the pass is the best ive seen down at belle vue for many a year. I said this guys pedigree is awesome and if he reaches some kind of form we have a real bargain. Not sure about the 1 year extension we need to build a team round him 1 year not enough same with Mariano. Players like this should be 3 years.
