| 1st SL win against Leeds.
Tactics pretty much spot on.
Deserves some praise?

Thinking that myself - is he good now
I'm confused, all the know it all Touchline Internationals on here say he's crap yet he's beaten both our hoodoo teams in succession!
So in answer to your question - NO hell no, he's just as rubbish as, Kear, Kelly McNally and all the others 0r he will be next time we lose

| Yes Wildthing, he certainly does deserve some praise, both for acheiving some success on the field and for proving the doubters (including myself) wrong

Nowt wrong with doubting, just some made it personal. He needs time, we will dip again but hopefully each dip gets shorter and each winning run gets longer.
Truth is no coach, not Kear or Agar or anyone else could turn us into contenders in 2 seasons after the 2010 collapse of the old club. For me if anything we are slightly ahead of what I expected especially at Youth level.

| People are much more likely to complain than compliment - it's a fact of life.
He's done a great job against two sides that we've historically struggled to beat, both of whom probably have about half a million quids worth of player more to choose from than we do; he deserves credit for that.
If that's a glimpse of the style of rugby we can expect under RA, I imagine he's just done more for ST pre-sales than any amount of marketing; just got to stick it up Cas next week and we should smash the 4k target.

| Really enjoyed these last couple of games in which we seem to be developing our own style of play, which is very entertaining and high quality RL.
The defense has also been much improved, the line's become much quicker at meeting the attack and players are not getting caught out as much as they were before. The forwards seem to have really found their feet more as the seasons gone on and a few of them have quietly had very good seasons.
Well done RA.

Hudds, Leeds and Cas - that's more or less the holy Trinity!
NB: It really should be a proper team like Fev but Hudds will have to do.

| Last night's destruction of Leeds was carried out with only 2 overseas players in the squad.
Even better.

Over the years of using forums, it's become a bit of a bad habit using the Yank versions, they're rather slyly trying to force it on us

quite. and it should be pointed out that collis was our worse player last night too. our overseas recruitment was rubbish (aiton and smith aside) for this season when you think of what john/mellars/collis/southern have brought to the party.

| Don't think Collis was our worse player at all, played pretty well I thought, it was just that we had 3 or 4 stand out's last night.
I still think John will turn out to be a good signing for us, he just seems to have taken his time to settle down over here. I also think Mellars if we played him on the wing would show us the form that he did at the Crusaders.

you're right of course, collis wasn't our worst player. i'd forgotten fox! the important thing though was that i thought they all played as a unit and as a team, something i have to credit agar for as i think they have pretty much all year - this is perhaps why we haven't seen the blowout scores that many of us were worried about.
anyway it seems churlish to focus on the negative (i.e. worst players in a brilliant victory), so i'll quit before i'm too far behind.

Agree and it's no great shame losing out to Ryan Hall, the blokes class and quite a bit taller than Foxy.

I think Collis has done well, John has the skills but didn't manage to get it going with Timmy before he was dropped - still think this lad has got a future at the club though.
I'll give you Mellars and Southern, although I think Southern's problems couldn't have been foreseen tbh.

| Collis hasn't been fully fit since the early part of the season - even busted, it's clear he's a quality player; I reckon he'll shine for us next season.
We've been unlucky with the Southern situation and he's been mis-used - again, I think he'll go well next year, if he's still with us.
The jury is out on Mellars - I don't think he's done what he seemed to be capable of at Crusaders, but I'll grant that he's been played out of position; personally, I wouldn't dislodge Fox or Cockayne in favour of him, so a bit of a quandary.
I'm not sure what the future holds for Isaac John - he showed a lot of potential, but with a settled pairing of Sykes and Smith, he'd spend next season doing pretty much what he's done for the last couple of months.

| good coach bad coach hard to judge really.
Here's my theory , the up turn in form and our forwards suddenly looking stronger and fitter could be linked to the inclusion of Ellis in the side. We look far more organised around PTB and the way we are moving forward.

| Bit of a stretch and not sure I'd put it down to that, he only played 20 minutes or so last week and didn't look great, looked fitter this week mind and distributed the ball very well.

| He played a good half hour last week against a very strong wind, thought he went ok, last night i thought he was very good but even better was agars timing on the introduction of Wood, he got that one spot on
