We have to remember that this is a community stadium and not just Wakefield Trinity Wildcats stadium, to that end end we should have some-one who has come from the community, whose family has represented the community of Wakefield (5 towns), a man who has the freedom of the city and who would be recognised as such. I can only think of 1 man from a family that would fit that bill.

think there is room for both of them to celebrate and commerate both grounds, my first season watching wakey was wallys time so he special to me, but i fully understand why neil fox needs to be there too he is mr wakefield trinity, shame toppo wasn't here to see this too but sure he be smiling down on us

How anyone can even suggest anyone other than Neil Fox to be given the great honour of opening the new stadium is beyond belief

I don't see why this has to be an argument - get as many Trinity legends involved as possible; it would be a great event.
