| Now i have been very impressed with Ali's fitness and way he has performed for us so far, but would he be best utilised coming off the bench after 20-25 mins? Start the second row with two from Kirmond / Southern / Mariano?

| I've been impressed too thus far and agree maybe short spells for Ali will utilise his strengths better. I guess an odd tweak here and there will improve us over time. Maybe we'll see a few positional changes at Hull, certainly we have work to do in a few areas though I wasn't at the game on Saturday. Reading the comments from you guys it seems most of you are in agreement on where we need to change things around, I guess Ali is one of a few options Agar has to look at to make us a whole lot better.

| In an ideal world yes. I think out problem is we have an abudence of players that play in the backrow. Southern should be there and as captain needs plenty of game time. Kirmonds been one of our best so far and big Ali is always a major threat. Theres been calls by some to switch Aiton to loose to accomodate Ellis and Washbrook has done ok and is one of Agars favourites. Throw in Mariano who last year we couldn't do without and if all props are available the possibility of either Johnson or Raleigh playing modern role of the extra prop at loose (a way to circumnavigate our lack of size) then getting the right combination is a tricky one. And thats without mentioning Trout who was one of our best in pre-season.

| I like Ali a lot. He is our go to player no doubt.
I like hwo he gets the attack moving from kickoff and we set off at a sprint.....the problem being we seem to stopw hen he goes off. Not sure what to do about that. Keeping him on will negate some of that attack too.
I'd also like to see Southern in the second row. His defense is outstanding and we need him on for the whole game.

| Big Ali needs to run training sessions for the other forwards on how to do whatever it is that makes him virtually impossible to stop and always end up with his nose through the line and his hands free for an offload; he's just class - if he can stay fit, he'll prove to be a very astute signing.

| Kirmond to centre for Mellars
Mariano into 2nd row
Then when Amor comes back drop Southern back into the 2nd row as well and Ali can then start from the bench.
Now you all know why I'm not a coach!!

| I only agree with Kirmond in the centre.
Mariano is not the guy now for me. Southern drops back straight away.

I said the exact same thing on Sat. For me he has looked tired going into the last 10-15 minutes of matches (espcially Widnes). That is the time, against a tiring defense, when he can have the most impact. We need to keep him as fresh as possible for the second half

Ooops - I was agreeing to the Kirmond move. Agreed, Southern to drop into the second row with either Amor, or even James making up the props!

| Id like Collis to be next to Lautiti Mellars struts about too much. Mariano is a dangerous second rower judging by the weight hes put on we are making him into a prop. This isn't a good move ! Not many 2nd Rowers are as quick as Frankie.

Big Frankie hasn't been a dangerous anything so far - he's looked off the pace and a bit jaded; I think he started the season with some kind of injury that he hasn't properly shaken off. Either way, he isn't yet the player he was last season - one of the highlights of a very, very poor team.

| Didn't walshaw score 2 trys in the reserves? Mellars I like the look of so far but he was out of position on a few occasions Saturday.
Maybe walshaw can get his shot for this week.
Also why don't we bring James back and revert southern back to sr.
Big effort vs hull fc needed.

| Mellars deffo needs a hard kick up the jacksie, god knows where he went after his 1st error. BJ obviously targeted him after that.

| I'd like to see what Ellis offers us at hooker...
Maybe time to throw him in instead of Wood off the bench, see what he brings...

This can be sorted out easily enough.

It could potentially be sorted out by giving big Lucas Walshaw the spot - I haven't seen anything to suggest his defence is weak and he's certainly a handful on the ball.
Could be just the thing to accelerate his development - it's not like he's going to get bullied at SL level; he's freaking massive.

Yes, I reckon he wouldn't let no one down at all, need to pick the right game to bring him in to have a crack.
Ali's been a revelation for me so far this year, he's always been world class but I thought we'd seen his best days at Leeds but no he seems well up for it at and full of enthusiasm and really fit. I think as the season goes on, the other players will come to realize that he gets passes away from the most unlikely of places and once they get more used to that, some good partnerships will occur.

| Lauititi has been great for us so far, said after I saw him play his first game in red white and blue how fit he looked, definitely doesn't look like he's here just for one last pay day and fair play to him for that as we've had others who weren't nearly half as good as him come for that. As the side start to gel and understand each other we could have a left side attack akin to that of sol, domic and tadulala, I rate Mellars as a player (though he's not been firing just yet) but I'd love top see Walshaw outside Ali, with the size of those two it could be a devastating partnership and if Louis can draw the last man Cockayne could have bucketfuls of tries to his name come the end of the season.

| By bringing him off the bench we would add a different dimension to our game and make the opposition think differently etc.
Start off with Southern, Kirmond, Mariano etc let them go at it knowing they were going to get twenty minutes rest when Ali comes on, for their hard work.
I'd stick with Aiton at loose though and Wood at nine and if Ellis isn't fit is Davey still here for the rep hooker?
