Does anybody know if we will be having a mins silence against Bradford on Saturday for Robbie Millward. I know Cas are having one is it just them or are all teams going to do it.

Without sounding insensitive I wouldn't have thought we would have had one, otherwise once you start that then where do you stop?

I expect the minutes silence at Cas will be a somber and dignified affair, and let the Millward family know that they are in the thoughts of the RL community.

We are a family, that's what separates us from wendyball. Granted there has never been much love between us & CT & I'm by no means am I a Basil fan, but we have a chance to show how united we are as a game on Saturday in front of the world.

I wouldn't have thought this would have even been an issue, should just be a given that'd we'd do something like this at the SKY games.

We shouldnt be doing it just to show the world we are better behaved than football fans. If it is going to be done it needs to be done to show the Millward family they are in our thoughts. Not to try and make a point to the people sat at home watching the telly.

Even better - that's a nice way to celebrate the life of a young man and I hope it gives the Millward family some comfort to know that the fans are with them.

We don't have to do it prove a point. We do it, like you said, because we care- which illustrates why we're a different breed to football fans.
Like I said I thinks it's a given we'll do something.

I have to fall with those who would have thought we wouldn't have one. If we 'show respect' to anyone related to our sport who sadly passes we'll have one every week.

Is there really a point to prove to football? I thought there were some moving and heartfelt tributes to Gary Speed recently for example, that demonstrated that the football fraternity can honour the passing of someone they respect.

A SL coach and huge personality within the game has tragically lost a son, let's pay a minutes respect.

Course we should have a minutes silence; without question. Millward is part of the rugby super league family. If it was a great auntie then fair enough; but his son its truely tragic and a minute of our respect should be granted.

I'm fully expecting a Minute's silnece. Can't see why there wouldn't or shouldn't be one to be honest.

If we have one I'll gladly pay my respects but I wouldn't vote for it myself.
It is a personal thing for the Millward family and to have the fans of the club he works at give a minutes "applause" or "Silence" is fitting but I don't think it is necessary to carry that on to every club. More is not always better.

Same here, its something we should have to do but if its decided then'll i'll observe it.

I'll obviously observe it if we have one, however do we pay respect to everyone rugby players / coaches relatives if they pass away? It is absolutely tragic losing anyone at that age. However it happens to many people.

The duty of respect for the Millward family lies first and foremost with the clubs with which he is directly connected. If the RFL deems it appropriate for all clubs to observe this, that's perfectly OK, and I'm sure everyone would. If they say it's a matter for the individual clubs, I don't think that constitutes a lack of respect - merely the acknowledgement that this is a private tragedy.
