Noticed watching last nights Sky game that every now and then a bunch of green and red lights came on above and below a teams name,what exactly do they indicate?

I thought it was how many subs they have used, but it could be the tackle count for each set..

I'd no idea what they were for and the "rainbow" thing that "flashed" with the tackle count irritated me.

Stop it SKY there is no need for this stuff.

It is how many interchanges have been used (red) and how many are left (green).

It's the interchange counter. Ten in total.

I agree with you, Sandal Cat. I noticed the rainbow thing during the second thing, and after that, couldn't take my eyes off it. I pay my money to watch rugby, not Sky graphics.

And I've noticed that the margin meter features less. A mention at half-time and an appearance during the second half. Well done, Clarkey, you convinced them to let you play with your laptop and it took them two weekends to realise it was utter tosh.

Sky yet again over complicating a very simple game and creating imaginary jobs for people at the same time, supplying information people don't need.
Sky should run the country, there'd be zero % unemployment within one term.

The rainbow effect when a tackle is completed gets right on my nerves, no need for it!!

With regards the rainbow thing, not even noticed this until pointed out in earlier posts, now can't stop looking for it, but it makes for better viewing than the Hull - Broncos game.

The flash effect when a tackle is made makes my teeth itch - it's most annoying.

Really no need for this kind of cack in RL - get rid of rainbows, margin meters and other such nonsense please; also stop the commentators from arguing about decisions and let's hear what the ref & TJ's are saying.

I think the red and green lights are a good idea (now I know what they are!) Not yet seen the 'rainbow' thing though.

If you've seen the green and red lights then you've seen the rainbow

you just haven't noticed it.

At what point did sky explain this, as I don't recall that, but then again I do tend to turn the volume down just in case



BTW I do think that is a good idea, far better then the margin meter

Looked at it again following a post earlier on this thread. 10 lights, 10 subs. Lights only come on when a sub's taking place... 2 + 2 =

No, red lights and green lights on the left of the score thingy and the rainbow "pings" out of the right, near the tackle count/ yardage thingy.

Its only a small brief ping of a rainbow.


God this does not sound right at all
