Why is John Kicking instead of Smith? John Is A Good Kicker But seems to be missing for angles? Smith Kicked when he was in the NRL and hes great... He showed good kicking ability against Leeds he put some great grubber kicks in the first few minutes.

are you the same bloke who said our kicking (not goal kicking) was poor at the fans forum? If you're not, I'll give you the same answer Richard Agar gave that question. John and Smith are equally talented kickers, and kicked Cas to death only 2 weeks ago.

As Agar stated at the fans forum, all the goal kickers at the club have never been the primary goal kicker at their former clubs. They have been the first reserve and Agar acknowledged goal kicking could be improved. The club are bringing in a Rugby Union goal kicking coach to address the situation, and other than that, the guys who are likely to be taking a punt at a goal should be doing extra practise sessions to improve their accuracy.

What evidence do you have to judge that on? Have you watched him kick in training? Because in the friendlies at Leeds and against Cas, Tim Smith did not once kick at goal. Yes Smith did kick in the NRL, infact between 2005 and 2011 Tim Smith kicked 5 goals in the NRL. Prolific!!

John maybe an average kicker, but so is Tim Smith otherwise he would be kicking.

I must agree, I know the Jury is out on Agar with a lot of people, but I think we can trust his decision on this one, he's the one that sees them in training. Especially at this level I'm sure they give the matter enough attention.
If John proves he's not a good kicker I'm sure we'll see Smith take the duties on but until then

I've been at BV this morning and I can testify that after a full (and very enthusiastic!) training session, Tim Smith was practising goal kicks from all over the park.

on the basis of kicks in the NRL it should be Dean Collis, who was super-prolific...

Ah Van is a decent goal kicker but absolute gash as an RL player, he wouldn't be in a SL team if he couldnt kick goal
