Dissapointed to hear that Agar is only taking 23 members of the squad to France. It is a joke, if you are a first team player you should be going regardless of the game time you will be getting throughout the season. If you was one of the players not selected to go you would be excused for being a little peeved.

There will be cost implications to consider though.

I was told last night we are taking 30 players plus 6 training staff.

certain players like Oli and Southern will not be going so as far as I know every full time contracted player should make the trip.

Yeah,I was told that 23 are going and that those 23 were told today.

I also heard that it was 30, with Southern not going (wife expecting any time soon), Ollie (due to apendix) and Walshaw (for personal matters I think).

So where did you hear that there are only 23 and was it so reliable for you to consider it a 'joke'?

southern can't go because his wife is due to give birth anytime.

I think both of us heard it from the same person and lets face it if he isn't a reliable source I don't know who is.

A young player who since has been told he wont be going either. If that is not reliable I don't know what is.

There has to be a limit somewhere. Some of the younger players are not going, but from what we were told from the CEO is that 30 players are going, with most of the younger 'first team' players on the plane

To Catalans paying for teams to visit them for
Pre season games with accommodation, flights
etc this is more beneficial for them than doing several
Trips away from home for games.

Anyone know who the 23 players are? Obviously 1-17 less Wilkes and southern so that leaves 8 more.

i know that James Davey is not going and is devastated which considering he has been a first team player for the last couple of seasons is a joke. Apparently Elston and co are going though for a jolly boys trip away.....great shout by the club !

James is not going out with the team but may go at the weekend. He is responsible for them you know!

Everyone as opinions and that is yours. In my opinion he is not a super league player along with a few other young players we have. I think people should cut some slack when it comes to Elston,Glover & Agar When all said and done they have done wonders for Wakefield and at least we have a super league team to support.

have not knocked glover and wont, he has been a breath of fresh air to the club

If this is true Which I find completely unbelievable then it makes it more of a joke that
the club could not pay for the players who have missed out.

I personally think Davey is a very good player who can cut it in super League, surprised he's not going. Always impressed me when he's played and at times has looked better than Wildie.

You seem to have some kind of problem with Agar and Elston among other things, why is this? the season hasn't started yet but nearly every post you've made in your 36 so far has been negative.
