Having seen very little of him, but knowing the depth of back rowers we have, he did stick out as a strange signing to me.
I know he played with the reserves last year, but i assume he would have still been non fed trained, and im sure the money could be better spent elsewhere.
Two plus two, with Mathers now unlikely and a non fed trained player leaving, does this mean Tongia is back in contention for the FB jersey?

Yep another that was signed before RA came is gone from all the wakey tweets. But the amount of back rows we have he wouldnt have got a look in.

None of us know the full story, but you've got to feel for the lad. Gone from the high of signing his first pro deal to only then be released a couple of months later.

Think he deserved a shot. He can play loose forward aswell though can't he. I feel for the lad he deserved a chance.

SR : southern, Moriano, Johnson, lauititi, Kirmond, Raleigh, Spiers .
LF : Washbrook, Trout, Annekin

With these all having a claim to his positions it would be difficult for him to get into the team. The positive is that trout/ Annekin may see more game time than originally thought with Morro concentrating on coaching and Massellot allegedly leaving.

Add to that Adam Slater. And for those that are of the position that Agar is trying to shove the kids out, watch the interview with Adam Slater on WildcatsTV, who was signed while Agar has been at the club, and see how he reacts when asked about the boss (not Bruce Springsteen). I can't say I was enamoured when we appointed Agar, but we've got to give the guy a chance.

Not seen the interview but did hear that Agar had rated Slater as the best of the youngsters coming through. He does have genetics on hs side as well (his dad was one of my favourite players)

With the advances in genetic engineering they may well be able to isolate and remove the "knock on" gene and develope the perfect player?

If he had a contract then he would still need to be paid up, so it wouldn't make any sense to release him early.

If it was his choice to leave then fair enough, I just know how Agar treated certain young players at Hull FC.

So you are saying you don't know anything about the situation, whether its even Sammy's own choice, yet you know Agar is at fault? Great.

I can't say I saw anything in him myself but if the previous coaching staff did then great. If Agar doesn't better to let the guy get in with his career.

totally incorrect.....the lad is totally devastated. He was living the dream of every young french rugby league player to play for a SL club, and although I never really thought he would make the grade myself.....lets not dress it up as something its not. The kid has been axed to make way for someone else who Agar is trying to bring in and free up money and space. The only consolation i guess is that a better player will probably arrive and its not one of the home grown kids that has come through the system that has been discarded like a pork chop at a Bar Mitzvah......

so lets hang on to a player who isn't up to the job eh!

Not at all mate I agree totally that there is no point keeping hold of players that are not going to make the grade and like i said in the big scale of things the kid was not going to be pushing for first team. Nor do i think a load of kids are going to take the club to the play offs.....The point....no the FACT that i was stating was correcting someone who 'commented' that the lad may have decided just to go home......... When YOU know some actual facts rather than just what you read or get to hear on this forum, then you can gladly put me right but in this instance unfortunatly you cant matey boy.
