looks like we will be announcing danny back with us and probably another 2nd rower to come from hudds. decent signings for us imo . could see tommy lee going the other way and as i said in a previous post hickey looks like going to london. if we sign dowes , i am a bit worried that we will look a bit light in the front row especially if korkidas doesn't re-sign, we may lack some real grunt. looking round sl there seems to be a lack of available big front rowers. . i am also told that tony tonks from fev will sign for hudds. he could turn out ok for them i think.

Im fine with kirmond but he is very average and if we sign dowes as well he is unbelievably average. Our signings so far i am optimistic I don't want a influx of average players though to dampen the optimism. We need to keep quality future like murphy !.

Kirmond can also cover centre and wing. Good signing. Raleigh is a tough forward with experience. Good signing. Would be happy with both + Dowes.

We are not going to be signing many real top notch players i doubt so we need to build a solid squad. Thaiday, Gallen, Thurston and Smith aint coning to BV anytime soon.

I sincerely hope we don't ship Hickey out - he's already shed a load of weight and with a good off-season, could be one of SL's most powerful forwards; why the bleeding hell would we scout him, broker a deal and incur all the expense of shipping him over here, only to send him off to Quins just as he starts to show potential?
