His speech seemed to give it away, it would be foolish not especially when he's coming off quota

The way he was shaking hands with everyone up and down the terracing might suggest otherwise, but you never know. Probably worth one last turn especially with, as you say, he's 'off quota' and in theory he will have more on field support next season.

I the one other is a player coach role with wakefield as i feel he has a lot to offer from a coaching point of view and he'd help with developing young players. He'd also be good for another season in superleague!

If JK is appointed at Batley on wednesday he could end up there as no 2 in a player coach role. Or so i've been told.

They think he's got another season in him. Yes, he's aged 3 seasons in the last one but hopefully next season will be less stressful.

I don't know whether GM has been offered a deal or not but one thing is certain it won't be as assistant that deal has been signed and sealed

I think he's a great player and would love him to stay as a player and maybe in some kind of coaching role however the walking round the field with his kids after the game on friday suggests to me that he was saying his goodbyes and will be leaving. Hope im wrong though

I don't think not signing Morrison would lead to a fans revolt. Sad fact is that players get older and can't do what they used to do. We have to be more ruthless and cut players who we don't think are up to it any more. A gamble, maybe, but look at Sid Domic for example.

If losing a 35 year old Aussie who does a good job nothing more is a enough to upset "the fans" then we really are in a bad way.

Dont buy that, our club are the ones who need to make the hard decisions. Not make a decision on what some fans (not all) want.

So if the club signs morro purely to satisfy some fans, even though the club do not see it as the best option then the fans will be slated if it is a year too many?

No, all those fans calling for him to be signed would be bagging the board!

So i accept the club/board will sign who they want and it should be their decision. At the end of the day they will rise or fall on their decisions and how they play out.
