Me too but to be successful you have to have strength in depth and if we could have all 3 then we would be well covered in the centres. Also competition for places and a coach who is willing to drop under-performing players should keep players on their toes. |

I've seen George in the reserves and he was very lazy, hate to think that we end up with him sulking if he did have to fight for a place in the first team |

George and mellors with murphy at FB or if tongia turns out to be amazing then murphy back on the wing. Its a excellent rotation system. George's injury record smurph will probably be in the centre with mellors. The big cash must be spent on a scrum half.

I think you're in a minority of one; Murphy is way better at centre and it's almost a given that Tongia will be our starting fb next season. |

I know a lot of people who like Murphy at fullback. Dont get me wrong if Tongia turns out to be top notch then murphy as centre will be fine if tongia gets injured Murphy at FB will be good and someone can slot in his place at centre. Things are hotting up nicely at the Trin we just don't want Mr Agar !!!. |

I think he looks better at centre - when he's been injury-free this season, he's looked much improved on previous form.
I still doubt his reliability though - he does seem to be injury prone, which is unfortunate.
Mellars, Smurph and George together provide useful options though - on balance, I would hope we can keep him ouf Uncle Ken's scaly grasp. |

The Wildcats are delighted to welcome Vince Mellars to the club, who has signed a three year deal at Wakefield from Welsh club Crusaders.
The 27 year old centre has spent two years at the Crusaders featuring in 41 games so far and making 16 touch downs, including a hat trick over the Salford City Reds in 2010. He was the joint top try scorer last year for the Crusaders and his ability to play at either centre or wing makes him a great asset to any Super League side.
The strong New Zealand centre has a wealth of NRL experience behind him having played for the New Zealand Warriors, Cronulla Sharks and Sydney Roosters. After two successful years in Wales, Vince is now looking forward to a new challenge and an exciting career in the red, white and blue.
Whilst visiting the ground Mellars told us, “I’m very happy to be coming to Wakefield and I’m really looking forward to the next three years here. It’s a big relief to have my future sorted and I’m very pleased that it’s here at the Wildcats”
“The club seems like an awesome place to be, surrounded by good people and a great atmosphere. With the announcement of the new Super League licence and a fantastic future ahead of them, I can’t wait to be a part of great things at Wakefield.”
“I’d like to thank James Elston and Andrew Glover for the opportunity and I would like to wish all the players at Crusaders my very best.”
