This last few days just seems to have been a moan fest about anyone and everyone. Don't get me wrong I have also had a few complaints about the coaching staff after games and also the set up or cock up trying to sort the 1873 lottery out. Agree - i think people are forgetting where we were earlier in the year .Wherever we're playing next year i'll be grateful to all involved that i've still got a team to support .

This club is in alot better state than it was and it will only get better with Newmarket on the Horizon and our new managment team getting Wakefield Trinity back on track

I drove passed a week or so ago and there was no stadium on the horizon at NM . There wasn't one at GH either .

A genuine question or two here .

Where are the people that will fill the proposed stadium ? Just because there is enough room to accomodate the whole of HKR's away support does not mean that many people will turn up to watch you on home days . (see HFC)

How will you manage in the new stadium if you do drop out of SDL ? A bigger stadium will look poor if you do take the drop . The lower you go the smaller the crowds will be .

Are all the people that signed the various petitions going to start voting with their feet and attending matches ? Easy to sign a petition . Much harder to actually put your money and your time into action and back up your monicker on the forms . .

Didn't Cas get 19k to sign a petition on their behalf ? When was the last time they had a 19k gate ?

Serious questions .

The people who will hopefully fill it are the fine citizens of Wakefield who when they have a stadium with better facilities and a team spending up to the full cap may be more tempted than they are now. We may also grab a few of the glory hunters who have jumped on the leeds band wagon now things are starting to slide there.

The stadium is for the whole community and therefore wont be reliant on the league in which Trinity are playing.

See point 1 the people who signed the petition did so as they wanted a new stadium not because they wanted to go to the old one.

Maybe you should ask that one on the cas forum.

There was 7,000 Xs' from Cas the other 12,000 signatures were from the sympathetic SL fans from the likes of saints and FC.

No, only about half that number, but don't forget with their six fingers they can hold 2 at once!!

Seriously though . We all have a limited catchment area . A huge stadium in an area that has a lot of competition just won't get filled . There would be no point in us sharing Elland Road . We have a reasonably large attendance , but we would rarely even half-fill it even with the size of our catchment area . Doubt we would fill it if we gave all the tickets away for free .

Serious question - How can Cas get 19k when their stadium only holds 12k . When was the last time Leeds ( a city team ) had 19k ? Once in 2009 when they had 19,997 against Saints and 2008 against Bradford ( 19,286 ) . You have to go back to the end of 2007 season to find a game at Headingley where there were more than 20k , and guess who that was ( Cas v Widnes )

If we had a petition going I wouldn't expect over 10k of signatures . And before you mention it , I know that Wakey also had a big sign-up to their request for support . No matter how many people sign an online petition it is very doubtful if all of them would use the facility they are purporting to be in favour of . Due to the sheer size of the WWW (facebook , twitter etc etc) there will no doubt have been 'support' from people who had never even heard of the place , let alone have any interest in the outcome of their participating in the petition .

Hopefully the RFL will see sense and keep Trinity in SDL . Keep Cas too . Improve your grounds . Don't move for the sake of it . Our old style stadiums are very few and far between . They have something that these shiny ones in new locations will never have . I ain't sure what it is they have . But I for one will miss it once they have all gone .

Completely agree BaldRick with these points . WR and BV are proper RL grounds and it will be a shame to lose them
