Enjoyed the game today - thought the lads did well after some early wobbles.

Somewhat spoiled though by being stuck in front of 3 of the most miserable old buggers I've ever encountered; constant negativity, criticism of the players and generally chebbing about how much better things were when so-and-so was here - and all done AT THE TOP OF THEIR BLOODY VOICES, just to make sure that rather than have a conversation between themselves, everyone within about 10 rows could benefit from their words of wisdom.

Why is that some old-timers seem to take a perverse pleasure in highlighting the negative aspects of the club? Is it some kind of badge of honour, to be determinedly cynical about everything because you were there in the 60's and nothing measures up? Is it just that some people get bitter about everything as they get older? What effect does this kind of anti-support have on new and returning fans?

They're all rhetorical questions by the way so don't feel the need to answer - I just wanted to vent.

For once I agree with you, there are a number of little clusters of them and they are utter tw*ts. If Ted leaving was a step forward then these old gits not turning up would be a huge leap forward. I have absolutely no time for them at all, just bullies who take the opportunity to abuse people from the safety of the stands. Ban them I say, there is not that much difference between what they do than people who racially abuse or throw stuff on the pitch - as far as I'm concerned paying your £20 does not entitle you to abuse players or anyone else. They and their cash would not be missed from my point of view.

Not a bad effort in the end though I think we were flattered a little by the scoreline, we were really wobbling on 50 minutes. We seem to play a lot better when Morro went of which is unusual but he had a poor game by his standards.

We played our best rugby today when Tommy Lee moved into the halves and we had either Davey or Wildie at hooker. Starting Wildie in the halves IMO didn't work and we looked a lot better team with him at hooker using hios speed and Lee controlling the game at half back.

He was the one - absolute fricking nightmare for the entire game. The only time he got enthusiastic was when Donny scored that cracking try - clapped for way longer than anyone else and yelled "SUPERB RUGBY DONNY, SUPERB RUGBY! WHY CAN'T WE CHUCK IT ABOUT LIKE THAT?!" When we did, he went notably quiet.

I tend to hate the general public anyway, but this guy and his cronies took the biscuit; proper spoiled my afternoon they did.

I'm glad there's a movement in support of my nihilistic view of the general public; perhaps we should get together and form some sort of club, although since we'd hate each other, I can't really see it going anywhere.
