Is the club having a shop in the new shopping , if so, may be the owners of Trinity walk, could sponsor the club and let Trinity have a store rent free..??

Elston agreed a deal with trinity walk before we went in to administration. Whether that deal still stands I honestly don't know but really hope it does as I expect it to be extremely busy when it opens in may

Was driving past last week and thought to myself what a fantastic location Trinity Walk would've been for a stadium. Right in the centre of town, bus and railway station nearby. Enough space for a fair amount of on site parking.

It would've be much harder for the Wakefield population to ignore Trinity if they were right under their noses.

As an aside, didn't Ted own part of the land TW is built on and sold it to Sainsbury's. I'm guessing it was this deal that shafted him.

Correct, it's still in dispute as far as I'm aware but it's what put him in an IVA. Should he win his case against Sainsbury's or more to the point the Solicitors who drew up the original deal he will be a fairly rich man again.

Sure was, he's had that same hard hat on for numerous years now. He was on a digger clearly the land.

I wouldn't raise your hopes too much for Trinity Walk, often those developments demand high rent. So unless Elston and Glover have managed to broker a cracking deal it'll probably be too much for us

Having a trinity shop in the town centre will be costly no doubt.

That said its a cost which may well be worth it. The throughfare of the local community of wakefield will be huge. Having a Trinity shop in a major shopping developement will force the club into the faces of the public of wakefield.

Personally think this would be a better advertisement investment than the tv add. The location is in the heart of wakefield with a permanent presence and is advertising the club to the local community.

I'm pretty sure Elston got it for next to nothing, tied in with a sponsorship deal.
