Good signing IMO we all know we are lacking a bit of size to our pack and he adds that. By all accounts and from what i have heard from Cas fans he is a real tryer and always gives 100% which should allow him to fit in well to the team.

I will be interested to see your fans opinions of Higgins signing, because when I posted on here in the close season that he was all set to sign for you most posters on here would not have a bar of it and said he was overweight and a championship 1 player at best, but that deal fell through as Wakefield were not offering enough for him to stay fulltime. So as I said I will be very interested in this thread.
Personally I think he will be a solid player for you, nothing spectacular but he will give you a bit of go forward ( if he has not let himself go with his time in the championship that is).

That's all we ask for. If he goes out onto the field, gains the meters, tackles hard, then that's fine by me.
Personally think its a good signing for the club and will add that bit more super league experience to the squad.

The key word is potential, play Gledhull every game and you end his career now.

Higgins isn't useless, only a touch line international like you could post such a dumb comment.

Then again I suspect you and your twin NGBC said the same about Wilkes, Moore and almost all the current squad - yet probably creamed yourself when Tronc signed.

As for Kear out that's your opinion but frankly I can't think of a coach who would have got more than 4 points this sesaon. Who would your fantasy selection be?

I'm baffled by the suggestion that signing another prop holds Gledhill back - props need to be spelled and rested, particularly young and fragile ones like Gledhill; Higgins is a big, tough lump who can add grunt and experience to our pack and in my view, he'll be a good signing.

Welcome to Wakey, big lad; put in the same effort and endeavour as your colleagues, and I'd imagine that the majority of us will be behind you all the way.

Higgins will do a decent job for us. He's a big lad that will get us off our line, something we've been crying out for. Might take him a few weeks to get back up to the of superleague but he's a useful addition.

Ive allways stuck up for Moore when everyone was on at him. Get your facts right. Higgins a squad player at best.

The Kear out crowd are in the minority now in my opinion.
I still think he is our most valuable employee.

As for Higgins. My cas mates always rated him but as a hard working prop, nothing more. They wanted something more than that so got rid. We want exactly that so he is to our benefit. Seems easy to me.
If he doesn't perform when he gets here then he will be overtaken by the kids.
I think he'll work out like King has. Not wanted elsewhere as he has no long term future but for us he is invaluable.

JKs record of selection blunders grows with every passing game.
Im afraid his continued baffling bench selections have hindered on field performances - leaving us light on forward replacements.
It points to him being a dinosaur with little knowledge of modern coaching techniques.
The youth will not develop to their potential with him in charge.
Looking forward to end of this season,then his contract is up and we can wave bye bye.
It will be interesting to see how many job offers he gets.

John Kear will come good, he as got to try things out, and leave Higgins alone fff's, give the lad time to do his talking on the field...

If i was Kear i'd use Higgins as an impact prop off the bench...

I'd use him as a second F/B or winger on the bench

Spot on and when Kingy fit, we will be getting a bit more go for ward along with Korky...

Just what we need IMO and will get his chance like any other to show us what he can do. Two solid 20 min stints is what we need with some hard drives
