After watching that you can't really defend George. If anyone needs an more than this simple statement i will be happy to oblige but don't think there will be many asking.

George puts in the effort as does every player this year. He could have scored twice as he has done on other days so I think he should be supported if only because we don't have a deep squad.
Some people always want to shout at our own players when not playing well. Can't we all just put 100% effort in to supporting this young team just like they are giving 100% every week for us.

If you watch again 2 or 3 players are coming across would have nailed Webb. Webb does a clever thing by showing an early dummy which makes George commit to him and gives Watkins the corner. He needs to trust his inside cover more or he's going to leave his wing more open. If they don't make it then it's there fault if he moves in and get's it wrong then it's his fault. Most teams learn to defend narrow and move out as the ball moves along the line but if one player moves the wrong way (in this case it's George) then without brilliant last gasp defending a try or a break is a formality. Webb is actually running Watkins out of space so only a misjudgment could have let in a try.

I am not saying he's a bad player as i have seen some good things out of him in the past and of recent. He probably felt dirty after the game or when he saw the highlights hopefully this will just make him more determined.

try 1 ... griffin rushes in where he shouldn't be.. Webb through and no one would have got near him if George hadn't pushed in ... two v good players in a 2 on 1 ... easy try... inside defence at fault
