We played Leeds four years ago in a similar situation. A lad needed time off work to train for the week. We got a hiding.

Can't fault them for effort, particularly after the bad start, it felt similar to the Salford game in the first 20 mins then we started to get into the game a bit more without actually creating too much.

Jeffries will make a difference when he's fit , but with injuries to Amor and Mariano we are likely to struggle even more in the forwards.

Yes, Mariano has looked good for us and Amor will be a loss, hopefully it isn't too serious and they can play next game. I think we've really missed BJ this season so far.

Moriano will be a big loss, I hope he is ok. Proud performance with some great defence on patches.

Need some direction in attack but in hoping that will come.

Lee - never seems to stop and thought he was our motm.
Johnson - made a hash but it's his debut, his defensive effort was top notch though. Has pace and hope he gets another shot,
Wildie - held his own and showed flashes of what he could do.

Forearm for Mariano - would expect him to be out for a while the way he was holding it it may be a break - think he had done it before myler try and hence why he couldn't tackle him and the gap opened up.

Indeed, as a make shift pairing they do OK, but I wouldn't want to see then there full time.

Wildie showed he is ready for SL . He should be in the halves come the next match.

Can't fault the effort and was pleased to see that we kept going until the end.

I thought Lee was very good apart from a couple of passes and it is good to see him kicking 2 40/20s.

Pleased to see Wildie given a run and i thought he did well and i hope he keeps his place for next week.

The forwards did well against a very good Wire pack and a special mention must go to Korky and Amor who i thought were very good.

I feel a bit sorry for Greg Johnson who i thought was excellent defensively all night apart from the one drop for the first try.

Pleased with the effort and the result was better than most of us were expecting a couple of props and a half back and we've the makings of a handy side. What I was impressed with was the way the club are moving forward off the field from the bars, the stewards, merchandise outlets general match presentation everything is alot more professional. missed the first half and from a phone call I expected us to of being ripped to shreds but was presently surprised to see we was still in it at 10 nil down, bar for a rush of blood from hendo it could of been different at the start of the second half.
