....does anyone know how the tickets are selling ?

Called in shop for a couple today and they said they were selling well

They'd hardly turn round and say 'nah, hardly sold any' would they? I guess we'll only know when the attendance is announced at the game...

well i went to buy two today, bought home shirt for me and little 2 year olds away shirt for grand daughter there was a steady stream of people going thru door so fingers crossed for a bumper crowd

Great stuff. Driven past a few times today and each time there were people walking into the shop.

I need to get down sometime tomorrow or Friday as ive agreed to buy the lads their tickets ( they are paying me back on Sunday ) as part of the deal to get them down !!

It also seems to be going well on the Salford site - especially now their fans can pick up £10 tickets from their clubshop as well !!

Put kick off back to 4.00pm to allow everyone to get in ???

Trust Glover isn't subsidising their tickets too!!

Don't think the tickets can be refered to as being subsidised. The idea is that they generate more interest and therefore more income.
Also, regarding home supporters, when people turn up in advance to purchase tickets from the shop they also have a look at merchandise.

......also means that the weather does not turn away floaters and the money comes in anyhow. BTW the weather looks set to be for sunny spells at the moment.

I was in Tesco Barnsley yesterday in a Wakey shirt the checkout lady told me her family and herself were Sheffield Utd fans who were fed up with football and had got season tickets to watch Wakefield for this season after watching on sky last year.

This ticket offer should hopefully pick up a few stragglers, neutrals and occasional supporters. I know a few people who are making the effort who wouldn't usually be that bothered about going.

Opinions are opinions but I think it's a poor article. Especially the grounshare with Cas which IMO is a non starter and would kill the club dead. Also it fails to point out that Cas refused the offer to play at NM - a stadium plan that remains as real or unreal as Glasshoughton. Again this shows Castlefords incredible ability to spin a story in their favour regardless of the reality.

The article is as good as saying that we should share with Castleford at Glasshoughton. I was not aware that Castleford had all the funding to build the ground and were considering building it in phases but the spin seems to give the impression that its a done deal - it may well be but I guess time will tell.

I was impressed with Andrew Glover and I'm sure given his backgroung he will be putting positive spins on any news stories that we release - and not before time but thats not been down to him.

I've actually posted the same on the YP site (bottom of article). Can I suggest we all do so, it's a bit of a faff to join but I honestly think it's a myth we need to dispel.

It's all about positive spin and with AG a busy guy right now it's the least we can do.
