Ive been informed that Jeffries and jeremy smith are currently offically without a club. They were released by the Administration committe and havnt picked up another club and since the take over we havnt chosen to take them back on as they have both refused to take massively reduced deals.

Anyone throw any light onto this?

Im not sure on big charlie, personally id of kept him. I thought he was alright and with our lack of forwards i rkn he could of done us a job.

Both of them are still at the club, Smith is just awaiting his paperwork and Jeffries may be back next week against Salford.

exactly, BJ wants to play for the club but is injured, Smith wants to play for the club but his visa is delayed, i do not see the reason for continuing to slag off players who actually want to play for WTW.

Its the Wakey thing, some people on here cannot forgive him for coming back no matter how he plays, he was no different from anybody else in the second half of last season but always copped it from the usual suspects.

can't we put all this crap behind us? charlie buggered off because he wanted too mch money. its now obvious that we didn't have any. i can tell you for a FACT that whilst we were in administration, one club in particular was desperate to get bj to go to them and so was the administrator but the guy showed great loyalty to the club and stayed with us. i think he deserves the same in return from us. its about time we put all this crap about bagging players, harping on about ted in the past where it belongs and move on. give our support to mr glover and the team we have . i am sure most already have ,you should too. think we will need bj at his best this year. best of luck to the lad.

My point was quite simply that if we lost those two players from the squad,at least there is a silver lining in that it reduces our reliance on overseas players and gives more opportunities to home grown talent.

I didnt say i wanted to see BJ or Smith go or that i would be happy if they did.
FWIW i still think BJ has something to offer us and on his day can be a match winner(whether he has enough of those days is debatable) and i wouldnt comment on Smith as hes yet to pull on our shirt.

Re BJ - at times class, other times woeful. Should have never brought him back. If we could get shut we should.

Money saved could be used to bring in top tier proven quality at HB, someone experienced and with a kicking game who can lead the team and get them round the park.

Who are all these top half backs we can get our hands on though. People keeping harping on about signing a top half back but I can't see any being available. Give the likes of Davey and Wildie a chance to see what they can do. I honestly can't see any half backs being available to sign.

Hyde and Lee looked good yesterday so i would give those two a run in the halves.
