Get a grip man....is it bbloody he_ll! You will lose your SL licence and end up down here. There's life away from SL and it may surprise you, but it's been there 15 years!!! What are you saying here??? You're going to watch your club until September then that's it??? Good grief!
I've read some inaccurate, over emotive and plain hysterical comments on here these last few days.
The dust will settle, you will lose the licence and end up down in the championships. Either you support your team or you don't. We were kicked out of the big time when we finished far from bottom. We've been through it and we lost some supporters.
But for the life of me I can't understand some of the guff I've read on here this week.
Maybe, just maybe, when the clear light eventually comes round your way, you will accept that your team has been run into the ground by people whom you've been unable to influence and as a consequence your club is where it's at.
Then it's about enjoying your rugby again and supporting your club - to me that's a given regardless of the competition we're playing in!

Spot on RFF, the Championship's a fantastic competition, far better than that tedious boring crap served up every week in the guise of an 'elite competition'. The Championship is played out by genuine honest lads with loads of talent and free to express themselves rather than drilled into being pumped up robots. In terms of entertainment value there's just no comparison between the two.

You Wakey fans need to get it out of your heads that SL is the be all and end all. It isn't and far from it. Your current problems will be solved eventually, leave it to the people in the know and stop worrying!

TBH don't see any fans wanting that and given the recent developments don't see how the RFL could convince Cas it was a good idea.

We need to get through this hopefully Mr Glover takes over and we make it through the season with loan players from oher clubs and we then prepare for a stint in the Championship.

I've said it for months now - Trinity to play their championship games at Post Office Rd.
The rent would not be Oakwell numbers, it's closer - a proper RL ground and not too far away as to put some supporters off. You might not think Oakwell is too far away but moving away from your 'spiritual home' to Oakwell will indeed be too far for some!
I don't know if there has been any official approaches made to our lot, but to me, it's the most likely scenario. - Keeps the club in Wakey district.

with all due respect who the hell wants to watch NL RL when there is little or no hope of ever being promoted if you finish top 2 just look at the attendance in the NL what does that tell you the game is on its knees thanks to sky and super league

i will not watch Trinity at Featherstone no chance

so, even if it made the best financial sense, the best rugby sense and was in the best interest of Wakefield Trinity RLFC - you wouldn't go cos they're playing at Fev?????

It's a hypothesis of mine, but It's your bloody club your on about here! Needs must, sensible decisions need to be taken. Decisions that are to establish survival of your club - yet cos my hypothesis is suggesting playing at Fev, you're kicking against it!! Un-soddin-believeable!

its funny now your heading to the lower leagues that its a fantastic league to be in but when cas went down there it was the "mickey mouse " league....things always come back to bite you on the bum dont they...

We have to live with "Gateshull Thundersharks",but the top and bottom is we probably would be languishing in lower leagues or worse by now.Any port in a storm I say,and whatever Wakey do I hope you pull through in the end.

I wouldn't have a problem with relegation. A merger would only work for me if it was at Newmarket. The benefit for Cas for a merger, if it doesn't involve a move to Newmarket, would be that they would be guaranteed a super league licence, and it would take them from odds on to dead cert with no loss of identity, because in three years they will be playing out of Glasshoughton in amber and black, in a team called Castleford Tigers.

Totally agree Fev fan. There's lots thats wrong with SL, the franchise system etc etc and, who knows, one of these days it may all implode(boy how I'd laugh) but we are here because of, barring a few brief enlightened moments, 40 years of mismanagement. We attract incompetents to our board like flies to s~*t.
Wakey fans Gotta support us. Who knows it might be a relief not to constantly struggle to compete out of our depth, as we have been due to said gross mismanagement. Be good to play Fev again. I've missed a trip to Post Office Road

Honest question, if they played out of Glasshoughton, and dumped both names completely, became something completely different, didnt even have a geographic location in the name, New Name, New Colours, New merged Club, with 'legends' from both clubs involved, would you still feel the same?

GH is a no no for me but I'd go with a genuine merged club based in Normanton. I've always thought Wakefield Mets would be a good name for a merged team (including Fev) but I daresay that wouldn't sell well in Cas (or Fev!) How about just, "The Mets"?

Its that Ludite sentiment that is damaging the game, Us And them, SL and Championship. As a Championship supporter its this kind of thinking which gets me mad. Expecially when you are going through the mill yourselves right now.

I think the game is on its Knees due to supporters like yourself who will not go to another ground to watch YOUR team play, Just becuase its not your own ground. GET USED TO IT.
