Cannot wait for this season now. I feel sick with excitement about the weekend. We usually start seasons really well, we've been written off by everyone again, we've got a lot of youngsters with something to prove and after a hard off season the light at the end of the tunnel is beginning to emerge. In our last season at Belle Vue and after all the turmoil I'm sure Kear will make sure the players know they are defending our, the fans, honour. It begins now and it begins against our bitterest and fiercest rival.

Looking forward to a cracking game and a season when Cas thoroughly disappoint again.

Disappoint? Would that be making the play-offs and then coming within a whisker of making the play-offs? Hardly 'disappointing'. We've always finished just about right, to be honest.

I rekon we will do it to be honest, but iv got a feeling it might be a drop kick finale..

To paraphrase Kevin Keegan, "I would love it just love it" if we somehow managed to retain our SL status and in the wakey way shoved two fingers up to people such as yourself who seem to thing its already a done deal.

If we do got out of SL, I wonder what chance we have of getting a parachute payment to compensate us for the first two years in SL when we got no share of the sky money. That outrageous decision by your club and the other SL incumbents at the time, has always had us behind the eightball and therefore for us to be able to retain our SL status when P&R was in place was IMO better than anything your star studded team has managed to do.

Sorry mate, you will not be sticking two fingers up at anyone. You will not get a franchise. I will walk naked down Westgate on a Friday night if you get a franshire. It is all sealed and delivered, believe me. You only had to hear Richard lewsi last night. We have not ruled out Wakefield, their franchise submission will be treated like everyone else.

Cas will be odds on and rightly so, we are big underdogs not least because we are two props short.....Buster if we do go down you won't be smiling too long as the RFL and the media will spend the next two and a half years saying cas are favourites to go down next time...such is the baloney of franchising.

Lets enjoy the derby...and the return of RL and the end of a miserable off season....

Thank all God's blessings that we are getting ready to play some rugby league again, very much a welcome distraction from all that horrible problems that we've had to put up with lately.

Rarely has a season starting with the familiar epitath, new season, new start, new era, new hope being more fitting.

So for every match this season, our lads should graft themselves to the ground until there is no more left to give, starting on Saturday.

In a nutshell - LET'S HAVE A BLOOMIN' GO!!!
